If you liked Commandos or Desperados back then, I can fully recommend you to buy this game. You could easily think that this game is just a clone of one of the two, but looking at the story , lvl- and character-design you´ll notice that the developers put a lots of efforts into this game.

Levels are highly detailed, with always more ways to go. Characters show a good variance –even if some of them feel a bit similar (Aiko, Yuki and Hayato), but that´s not a problem and the story has some twists, it´s not superb but it motivations (next to the good gameplay –which motivations by itself) to keep on going.

I had to change some of the standard key bindings, as I´m used to use WASD to scroll over the map, but done that – controlling is up to date and characters did ( 98/100 times) what I was expecting from them. Shadow mode could provide the possibility to let characters do, not only just one move but perhaps 2 or even 3 in a row( e.g. use with Aiko her powder and then let her shot afterwards at some guard…etc. )

I liked the setting (Japanese – Edo) more than expected, even if I had just a little idea of that time and Japan, but it feels (at least for me) quite fresh. Only thing I was missing were Shiba-Inus ;)
I´m definitely looking forward for new content from Mimimi.

Now, go and buy it for the Shogun!
