This has been played on flat screen for initial setup and then used in VR. Im running the Oculus rift S, and with a custom built gaming rig.

I been waiting for a couple of years for a proper flight sim that uses VR. Played a few top games with VR.
And only been playing for 14 hrs and yes I got the WOW! factor.
Graphic wise it has stunning GFX while flying. Compared to a flat screen and VR. I would recommend only using this game in VR. Flat screen doesnt do this game justice!
comparing Flat and VR, Flat screen it just looks like another cockpit view for another game, VR makes this stand out and you can see the curves lines switches pop out like real life.
As for what you will be seeing most of the time, the clouds are spectacular. and when flying though them or get some light rain, the rain on the windows and window panels look real and very much life like, never seen anything better done before.

Combat wise seems to be ok though could do with some improvements.

only bad points I can see are the controls can be finicky to set up and can take a while.
also with VR you have to use the keyboard as well so this can be difficult.
This could be sorted if they added the hand controllers and you could also use them to operate the planes buttons and functions.

Ok game, but awful ending, yea made it outside but no accomplishment to make it back to your family

Game is awful, too many "time" constraints, you dont have time to breath. This game has far too much dictation on what you have to do, unlike the original back in the 90`s where you could choose your fight, and when. Also game mechanics are awful too, play though seems more one sided. Even on easy difficulty settings, (normally play standard ot hard) dosnt matter on how well you hide, team gets wiped out after a few turns so called 80% chance for a hit always miss, I hate the idea of move then shoot with out the ability to move after. The capture vip missions are impossible with so little time and far too many aliens. Bring back the original turn based game concept then yea its worth playing

Remember this game back in the Amiga, Game is very playable, how ever there is a lot of content missing and a lot of nasty changes. On a kill you now see the enemy plane in half falling down, in original version the mono plane used to wobble and go into a crash dive. The bi planes now are the same as the mono, in original version they spiral down. Old version you had an enemy ace that used to chase you down. Never enountered one in this version. though still fun to play :P
