♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ love this game. played hours of the demo, haven't stopped playing since release.

good for low key chilling that sucks you in and challenges you without feeling like you are wrestling against game mechanics.

Occasionally clunky controls because it's set up for controller not M/K and there are some additional resource tracking functionality that would be nice maybe, but really solid game

Hunt is hard but rewarding. The permanent loss of your hunter and gear is brutal and raises the stakes of every match, but it's also easy enough to rebuild a strong hunter that it's not a crushing rage quit moment.
It can be played to your personal playstyle and doesn't force you to play into a particular meta to be successful. If a match isn't going your way you can cut your losses and leave or you can push through for an epic win.
The hunt discord is important to use as the random matchmaking isn't friendly to new players and developing partners helps the thematic tension of the game.
Solo play is rewarding but brutal and probably isn't advisable to new players as death comes quickly in the bayou.

Servers are janky and lag and desyncs are frustrating. Worth a buy on sale but may be frustrating to pay full price and see the drawbacks.
Worth the investment and hours.
