It is a fun little game but the horrible cash grab to unlock content all over the place makes this a bad purchase.

Disappointing single player experience. Over in less then 10 hours on hard setting. If you are only looking for multiplayer it is ok, but if you are like me and want a good single player campaign , don't bother.

really fun game. for an early access game has been really stable. the dev team is really active with really good updates, if a bit slow. could use smaller updates more frequently but that is not a huge issue for me. only big parts missing are the end game content / story and supporting features. that said, there could be more in the logistics area, it would be nice if there was some way to raise chickens and pigs, and a vehicle that has less storage but will carry 4 people.

the vehicles are really useful, they are not just for getting around, great for looting and exploration.

the AI is not there yet but keeps getting better.

game progression is pretty good at this point, it takes time and effort to get to the top tier stuff.

the RPG elements are not the best but work well in this context.

This game is just lame. The story is heavy handed and one dimensional. The game play is overly simple and boring. You die so easily and the checkpoint system is just frustrating. Do not get this game.

I am a 30+ year developer that decided to finally try game development. I'm currently working through the tutorials and find they are full of good information on unity and its tools. I can recommend GTGD S1 for anyone that already has a good understanding of programing and just looking to pick up unity development.
The author is obviously self-taught and talented but, that said, there are glaring mistakes in code that could be confusing to a novice programmer. His copy and pasting of code instead of creating a function, his misunderstanding of how some construct work and a general lack of OOP can be a bit of a distraction or teach bad habits to a novice developer.
I suggest anyone new to software development to find tutorials on C# that focus on “Object Oriented” programming first. Once you have an understanding of the basics these tutorials become more of a “What Can Unity Do” tutorial then a programming tutorial.
Even with the issues with the coding, I will recommend this as a good way to learn the basics of unity. The fact that this is based on Unity v3.4 is not that big a deal. The information should migrate to the next version with only a minimal effort; migrating code normal in software development and just another lesson.

Meh at best, this frustrating game has some really bad AI and shallow game play. You fight the same mobs on every level. That would have been OK if the AI was anything more then run at you and run at you some more.

To compensate for the lack of AI they throw a ton of them at you or drop them in right behind you. Both get old rather quick.

The story is OK but nothing to rave about.

Ok if you can get it for $5 or less.

Just finished the game and what a let down. The final boss wa really easy, it was a lot harder getting to the boss then fighting it. They have a half decent story and just leave it hanging. Don't answer any of the questions presented. Feels like they ran out of money.

I really wish I could return this game...
