30 minutes game play experience:

Oh no we crashed! Good thing I can fall back on all that valuable mercenary experience I have to survive and complete my mission objective...

Wait, look at that dirty naked guy, he has a leg that's not cooking on my campfire. New objective found.

I can't recommend this game. The advancements in gameplay mechanics and actual enjoyability of more recent deckbuilder type games blow this one away.

Personally, the main gameplay mechanic of randomizations doesn't work out well, and is truly unrewarding. It's frustrating, and I feel like half the time spent playing is me quitting to just restart to gamble on the initial enemy card drops.

I was able to beat it with 3/4 of the primary characters (unmodded), but lost interest due to the ephemeral grindy nature of the game.

I'd recommend pretty much any more recent deck builder type games, or any other non-deck builder loop type games over this one.

What happened? Vermintide 2 was such a blast, and I tried really hard to enjoy this game, but the wild instability and QoL and loss of virtually every quality feature from the predecessor is missing. It's almost as though the entire prior staff quit, got fired, or was buried neatly under the floorboards, taking with them all their lessons learned and skills. It's really sad to see, and even a couple months after release, it's still crashing randomly, and for some reason even simple features like awaiting a group isn't supported. Why in the world would I want to play this game with 3 bots?
