Played on Steamdeck. It is a pretty good mash-up of bullet hells and classic Zelda. The exploration is great, action is solid, art design is pretty good and the controls are very responsive.

A collegue of mine recommended this game to me. I wasn't too sure about it. 2D soulslike with a bit of metroidmania? I dunno.

But holy crap this game is amazing! Super crisp gameplay. No "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥", every mistake is my own fault. Good progression through upgrades.
The charm system (little upgrades or alterations to your gameplay), invites you to change your build constantly. For every boss you'll be like "what if I use this combination? Will it be easier? Or what about this cobination?".
Even the difficulty is okay. Most bosses don't need "too much" tries to beat, with one or two exeptions (looking at you...Watcher Knights).
I can't recommend this game enough! It took my top 5 games by storm and resides besides Subnautica, the Elder Scrolls series, GTA and Welcome to the Savage Planet.

From a completionist standpoint, I'll think this one will be tough. Completing it in perma death mode to 100% will be rough. There are some super hard optional bosses to beat.

Vampire Survivors is in its design a very simple Rogue-lite game, with more depth than it shows on its surface.
The only thing you do is control your character with either wasd keys or the mouse, all attacks are used automatically. Your goal is, surprisingly, to survive as long as possible. You gain gold while playing which you can use to upgrade permanent skills after each run, and buy new Characters, which each have their own playstyle. In a run you collect experience to level up and items to make your build. You can choose 1 of 3 items, or an upgrade for one you already have each time you level up. Boss Mobs drop chests which only contain upgrades for items you already own.

I didn’t expect the game to be that much fun, but drags you quickly in the “just one more run” spiral. For the little price it costs, it is absolutely worth to try it out.
