At this point, the end game sucks, the bugs aren't fixed, and they just dropped a 2 gig patch that basically did almost nothing.

I'll be back to see if they ever get this right at some point because there's a decent looter shooter in here. However, the story is crap, the voice acting is hilarious, and at the end of the day the build and loot system is a lot more limiting than it came off in the demo.

As a general single player kind of guy without friends who play Vermintide, I found that V2 offers a substantial improvement over the first Vermintide, where I quickly got tired of the game. The mission structures are changed around and fetch quests aren't as painful as they used to be. Roughly half the distance on average it seems to V1, which means your bots are more useful and you spent more time fighting and less time running around with a sack on your shoulder. Good development there.

The bots too are generally more useful now too. Once I figured out I could level them and equip them as I wanted the game clicked into place for me and I've been making steady progress. I just graduated from Recruit to Veteran and it felt like a good escalation of difficulty, whereas before I figured out the power system and equipping bots I got massacred in the first horde attack.

The loot system feels pretty good, the battles are fun, the boss battles are varied and interesting (some of them feel a little anti-climactic, the bell being one of these were you're like "that's all?") but overall it's a lot of fun. The final level of the original campaign is also a ton of fun. Good stuff.

Leveling is pretty sastisfactory too, and as a solo player you're only a couple missions away from your bots being built out as you wish.

Overall as a solo player this game now feels about as playable as Left 4 Dead did. I appreciate that a lot.

I got this on deep discount a couple weeks ago and it's worth the money I spent on it. I'd say wait for a sale and pick it up. You'll get your money's worth. I haven't played any DLC yet so I can't comment on any of that.

I generally don't write reviews but this is worth amplifying and recommending.

I stumbled into this via The Black Watchmen, which was a very heavily logic-influenced puzzle game. The puzzles varied but generally were pretty head-scratching.

Nite Team 4 is not nearly so head-scratching. It's a gamified intrusion simulator. A lot of concepts are simplified and condensed so that hacks take minutes. However, they are based on real world concepts and generally speaking do not rely too much on sci-fi elements.

I'm only about halfway through the game but am having quite a bit of fun and can easily endorse the game if you enjoy other similar hacking sims. Consider this a *big* step up from Uplink, as you'll have to get used to a handful of CLI commands and some other relevant tools.

My one complaint is that the interface, while slick looking, is *atrocious* in it's user experience. While there are multiple desktops, and I appreciate that, there's no minimize function and your windows get cluttered and it's hard to multitask. The notepad, which I use extensively, might be the worst. It jumps all over the place whenever you interact with other windows and it's beyond frustrating to use. Regular notepad may be a better bet.

EDIT 6-2-19: The dev team for this game is knocking home runs. The interface has improved VASTLY since I last played the game. Notepad can be minimized and now has tabs(!) in it. Multi-screen support is in it's infancy (if all monitors have the same native resolution it works) and it's a *huge* step up in usability. The notepad doesn't jump around like it used to either. All in all, quality of life with the user interface is *vastly* better and I was able to move, quickly, through the game. At this point I can recommend it without reservation. This game is great. One of the best hacking sim games I've ever played.

I wasn't much of a racing fan until someone got my interest piqued in Rally racing. I love the concept but didn't invest much until I heard a good review of Dirt: Rally. Went and picked it up. 20 minutes after installing I was ordering my racing wheel. Now I'm contemplating a trip to the junk yard for a car seat so I can build a racing pod.

The game is obviously early access so there's a lot to improve. The breaks are awful good in snow, using the mouse in the menus would be nice, more content, etc etc...

Still, this game has me hooked. And I have a moderately powerful system (quad I5 processor & R9 270x) and I can run the thing at ultra settings across the board and not dip under 70FPS.

The game can only get better from here. I look forward to getting better along with it (I suck).
