Early Access Review
There aren't very many, if any games like this. Once they get the game a bit more fleshed out and have an actual matchmaking system this will be an insanely popular title. If you are interested in this style of game support the devs and give it a buy. As it stands the multiplayer is a bit sketchy considering it uses the streaming system through steam or Parsec, neither of which I like very much. However the game itself has so much potential it is unreal. I would like to imagine that later we will be able to customize our own characters and swords. I highly suggest you at least try the demo and if you have the extra cash pick this up and get in on the ground floor!

Apex Legends is a game that grabs you and won't let go. As far as shooters go it's easily one of the most polished feeling experiences of the modern generation. The way they designed the characters abilities creates multiple layers of strategy that other shooters just don't have. Characters have one passive ability, one tactical ability and one ultimate ability. The Tactical can be used quite regularly on a quick cool down where as the ultimate abilities usually takes a bit longer to recharge. One of my favorite characters is named "Octane" and his abilities are geared around speed and movement. Once you master your character of choices abilities and can use them without thinking about it the fun truly begins. There are so many things to keep track of during a fight with another squad but it doesn't feel over-whelming at all. The feeling of excitement and joy you get after you come out on top of an engagement is great. I would say unmatched by any other modern battle royale title currently available. It's f2p and other than cosmetics there is literally no advantage to be gained by dropping money except for being able to access all the characters faster than grinding for them I have played a ton on PS4 so my total hours in game is much higher than it shows on steam. I was able to unlock every character on PS4 without paying a dime and I am almost done unlocking them all on PC as well. If you find yourself really getting into the game I can say for sure that you will end up wanting to put a little cash into it one way or the other. If you have been thinking about giving this game a try, do it. If you haven't thought about it....do it anyways!

Eve Online....where do I start? I have played Eve on and off as a casual for over 10 years now. Every update lures me back in and to see if maybe this time I will stick with the game. I am actually giving Eve a positive review. Most of the negative reviews are from players who join up, play solo and get rocked by organized corps who profit off of the ignorance of someone piloting an expensive ship alone in low sec space. I'm sure it's annoying to lose all your time and money invested but the information is out there. This game is dangerous for your time investment if you play alone. You WiLL lose everything you invested in. You see Eve is about playing as a community and a group. It's how the game evolved over the years and it's what the main line of players want. The most fun I ever had in the game was about 6 years ago when I joined a pretty large corp. We ran fleet missions like patrols, large ops and mining runs into low sec as well as raiding other corps areas when able. The game made a huge 180 for me at that point. It was then I realized that Eve is a great game but you have to be willing to join a corp and play PvP. Honestly solo play is just not what this game is about and never will be. People giving this game a bad review because they don't have the time to invest or the will to join a corp is not really fair to the game. You are saying you don't like the game, not that it's a bad game. They are not interchangeable statements. It's fair to say you don't like the game for those reasons. It is not fair to say it's a bad game simply because you don't like the mechanics. I have never been a hardcore player but I can recognize that there is nothing like this game currently available and I highly suggest you give it a try if you like space, a large group of people to play and team with and are willing to make the time sink. This is not a game you can casually invest an hour to here and there and make any real progress. My recommendation hinges on the points made above. If you like a cut throat and ruthless style of game play you will enjoy Eve.
