Rocksmith 2014; If you own a guitar and don't know how to play it well (even if you're already alright), or if you don't and have ever thought about trying to pick it up (or bass), I would highly recommend getting this game.

However, I'd go to Best Buy, Amazon, Wal-Mart or anywhere you can buy the game and the Realtone Cable.

I played guitar for years before getting Rocksmith and I still feel like I get better after every hour of playing. It may take a while to get used to the color-coding of the strings, but once you do, the game is endless amounts of fun (and skill building).

Guitarcade (the "game" section of the game) is a great way to develop your technique (harmonics, chords, scales, etc) while not becoming bored by dull and repetitive exercises.

Don't let veteran guitar-snobs discourage you from using this wonderful program. Lessons from a professional are 20-60 dollars an hour (TX); this game plus the cable is about 84 dollars after tax with an approximate lesson/practice time of 100-1000 hours.

You also get to enter for a chance to win an Epiphone Les Paul guitar, which is an added bonus.

Check out the system requirements and shoot for the recommended specifications to avoid any tragic lag while playing.
