all the extra elements are nice. and in depth strategy gamers will find something they like here. However if you like RTS combat. Hard pass at the moment. the scale of the units is like almost every other strategy game. Dune was one of if not the first RTS. This game completely currently lacks the feel and combat and urgency that was sooo much fun in the other previous games. Bought it during the current sale but still feels like I overpaid. Game does look pretty good. I give the combat 2 out of 10. Strategy maybe 7-8 out of 10. Needs a lot of work.

still in alpha. zombie aggro is very weird. Sometimes they can see you from another hill and sometimes you can walk almost on top of them. I suppose it is related to server settings. Finding maps is a pain in the ass as instead of one map for the entire area you find sections of it. taking multiple slots. Finding melee weapons and drink is pretty easy, food and medical a little more difficult. Finding firearms and ammo is a huge pita. I can find ammo for guns I dont have and ammo can go bad it seems. Some guns have upgrades that can be found so that is neat. watch videos for ideas on how some things work. Ammo is either found in mags for the gun or in boxes. If it is in a box you have to empty the box in the inventory mode and then load the gun. I got soaked a few times drinking or from rain and my ammo did go bad. Inventory can get to be fairly big with a big pack, pocketed clothing and a lbe vest. If the gun is in rough shape you find a cleaning kit and it should help restore it somewhat.

watch videos of this before you play it. as it will not make much sense at all. I can find stuff but not able to do anything with it yet. and cant figure out why I get injured without getting touched.

The game is hella fun when you get to play, if you like mechs, you might like it, its a bit faster paced then mechwarrior with a bit less customizaton. The maps look great, the layout for most is pretty good. And there is now a large selection of mechs. Not that many weapon options per mech, but over a dozen mechs now. several game types, coop and others. team deathmatch can have up to 6 vs 6, this is what I play the most.
