Early Access Review
Starship Troopers: Extermination is an exhilarating PC game that successfully captures the thrilling essence of the iconic science fiction film franchise. Developed by a dedicated team of game developers, this title immerses players into the intense world of intergalactic warfare against insectoid creatures. From the moment I started playing, I was immediately drawn into the action-packed gameplay and stunning graphics that brought the alien-infested planets to life.

One of the standout features of Starship Troopers: Extermination is its immersive gameplay mechanics. Players are given the opportunity to customize their own trooper, equipping them with a vast array of futuristic weapons and advanced gear. The game offers a variety of mission types, ranging from intense bug hunts to strategic base defenses, ensuring a diverse and engaging gameplay experience. The cooperative multiplayer mode is particularly impressive, allowing players to team up with friends and tackle the insect menace together, adding an extra layer of excitement and camaraderie.

Another aspect that impressed me about Starship Troopers: Extermination is its attention to detail and authenticity. The game stays true to the source material, with familiar bug species and iconic weapons from the movie franchise making appearances. The atmospheric sound design further enhances the immersion, as the relentless bug screeches and explosions create a sense of urgency and danger. The developers' dedication to capturing the essence of the Starship Troopers universe is evident throughout, making this game a treat for fans of the series.

While Starship Troopers: Extermination offers an exhilarating gameplay experience, it does have a few minor drawbacks. The single-player campaign, while enjoyable, can feel somewhat repetitive over time. Additionally, some players might find the difficulty level to be quite challenging, requiring a significant amount of skill and strategy to overcome the relentless hordes of bugs. However, these minor shortcomings are overshadowed by the overall excitement and immersion the game provides, making it a must-play for fans of the franchise and sci-fi action enthusiasts alike.

Company of Heroes is a real-time strategy (RTS) game that was released in 2006 by Relic Entertainment and published by THQ. It is set during World War II and puts players in control of American or German forces as they battle it out on the Western Front.

One of the standout features of Company of Heroes is its stunning graphics and immersive sound design, which creates a convincing and atmospheric depiction of war-torn Europe. The game's battlefields are fully destructible, which adds an extra layer of strategy as players can destroy buildings and barricades to gain an advantage over their enemies.

The gameplay is fast-paced and requires careful planning and execution, as players must manage their resources and make tactical decisions on the fly. The AI is challenging, and the game's multiplayer mode allows players to test their skills against other players from around the world.

One of the criticisms of Company of Heroes is that its campaign mode can be a bit short, but this is balanced by the depth of the game's multiplayer mode. Additionally, some players have complained about the game's steep learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, Company of Heroes offers a truly rewarding gaming experience.

Overall, Company of Heroes is an excellent RTS game that is both challenging and visually impressive. If you're a fan of the genre, or simply looking for a great strategy game, this is definitely worth checking out.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is a truly impressive personal computer game that transports players back in time to the old west. With its vast open world and intricate attention to detail, this game allows players to be fully immersed in the life of a cowboy. From gun fights to hunting, Red Dead Redemption 2 offers an authentic western experience that is unrivaled in the gaming world.

One of the standout features of this game is its gun play. The mechanics of shooting and reloading feel incredibly realistic, and the player is able to aim and shoot with precision. This level of realism not only adds to the overall immersive experience, but it also makes for some truly intense shootouts.

Another great aspect of the game is its hunting system. Players are able to track and hunt a variety of different animals, each with their own unique behavior and challenge. The level of detail in the hunting system is remarkable, from the way the animals move and behave, to the way they react when they are shot. Whether you're looking for a thrilling shootout or a peaceful day of hunting, Red Dead Redemption 2 has something for everyone. Overall, this game is a must-play for anyone looking for a fully immersive open-world experience with perfect gun play and hunting mechanics.

This open-world game allows players to fully immerse themselves in the wizarding world, complete with stunning graphics and an engaging storyline. The game's focus on powerful spells and broom racing adds an extra layer of excitement to the already thrilling gameplay.

One of the highlights of the game is the vast and open world that players are able to explore. From the Forbidden Forest to Hogsmeade Village, players can freely wander and discover new secrets at every turn. This exploratory nature of the game allows for players to fully immerse themselves in the wizarding world and truly feel like a part of it.

The attention to detail in this game is truly remarkable, from the spell casting mechanics to the flying broomstick races. The game developers have done a fantastic job of making players feel like they have control over their own magic, allowing them to cast spells with ease and fight off enemies with a wave of their wand. The broomstick races are also a standout feature, adding a fun and competitive aspect to the game. Overall, Hogwarts: Legacy is a must-play for any fan of the wizarding world and a great addition to any gamer's library.

Honestly it is everything you love about GTA:SA however there are a few things to note:

1) There a quite a few bugs and I recommend that everyone get every single one of the top 10 mods, especially the graphics overhaul

2) It truly feels like it was just a port that Rockstar made sure "just worked" instead of QA'ing it for issues

3) You will notice that cars/pedestrians all tend to enjoy ramming the sides of houses as if they were off their "track"

4) The draw distance leaves a lot to be desired but it might be due to limitations of the time

5) Aiming is a big complaint for me because it feels like I have to stop, then shoot, as opposed to shooting on the move.

To begin I am not one to normally write reviews:

Pros
-This is a spiritual successor to X-Wing vs TIE Fighter in every respect
-The amount of thought and care that went into this is simply astounding
-The constant references to Legends (Canon for me) characters/ships/ voice overs can be seen in all aspects of this game
-This is the Star Wars Space simulator you have been waiting for
-Every detail on every ship is agonizingly recreated in all its glory, from the reflections on the hulls to the sound of the Twin Ion Engines as you pull turns

Cons:
-VR issues
-HOTAS dead zones
-Load times even on an SSD leave much to be desired
-VOIP needs some work
-Match Maker is borked at the moment

Overall I suggest this game, patches will fix the above issues but this game needs love and support because without it we will never see the likes of it again.
