Ignore my playtime, I used to play on a cracked version bc I was poor, okay?

My second Counter-Strike game and by far my favourite. I've spent countless hours trying to master the art of Turbo GunGames, won like 20 times in all those years, but still my favourite memory of playing this game. The graphics and mechanics were a good upgrade from 1.6, while still keeping the core of the game intact and recognizable for old players. This is the true decessor of 1.6 (not counting CZ bc it sucks) and will always be one of my favourite games of all time. A big thumbs up from me because it is the best, yet most underrated CS game in my opinion.

First of all, don't look at my playtime. I've recently bought the game and only played before on cracked versions bc I was a poor school kid so my playtime is way higher than this.

This was my first Counter-Strike game and I loved it. Just playing this brings back so many memories of whole evenings playing on respawn servers and screwing around on ScoutzKnivez maps with my cousin. Aside from MineCraft, no other game can give me more nostalgic feelings than this one. I can recommend Counter-Strike players to start with this one, play it for a few years, jump to CS:S, play it for a few years, then go to CS:GO and repeat the same cycle. Doing that made me realise how beautiful and well-made this game was for it's time. A big thumbs up for this game and it's still non-toxic player base in 2020.

A really good game and a must have for every Steam member.

As a Counter-Strike veteran, with many hours in 1.6 and Source, I must say that this game is really impressive. I hadn't touched the game until it became free, mostly because my old pc was crap so Source was the best I could run. I downloaded it and became addicted (again). The game simply takes the old CS games, improves some of the bad aspects and BOOM, CS:GO is here! Of course I don't like everything they changed, like weird matchmaking and not being able to play on the map you actually want to play (unless it's competitive ofc). But the core mechanics have been polished up and shooting has never been so smooth as this. I think that CS:GO is in a lot of ways the best game until date. However, nothing can beat the old 1.6 and Source player base, because they're not even close to the toxic players we have in CS:GO. A big thumbs up to this and fix DM for gods sake cause i've been unable to play it for the past week.
