I separated tav from the rest of the party, went solo into a basement, stepped on a trap, died by one of the most brutal explosions I saw in a video game, all while Karlach was dancing one floor above, what an amazing game.

Me and my friends started playing DnD around the time this game entered early access, we loved the genre and all the things you can do in DnD, we had a lot of fun and I keep very precious memories from our campaign. Eventually we stopped playing, but something was sure, we loved the TTRPG genre and we wanted more, that's when this game came out and I bought it, it took me a lot of hours to understand what was going on, and eventually dropped it before ending act 1 but I recommended to a friend who was looking for more roleplaying experiences.

This year I tried to play it again and it captured me in every way possible, I knew a few things from early in the story but I played so differently this time it felt like a new game. The world, the characters, the music, the story and the gameplay made me have one of the best times of my life playing video games.

As I grow older I developed a limit of 40-50 hours before I drop a game because I don't have the time to play longer games and my videogame backlog just keeps getting longer, but with Baldurs's Gate III was different, I wanted to spend as much time as I could in this game, I wanted to know what happens next in the main story, I wanted to know what is the next chapter in my companions stories, find every mission possible and interact with as many NPCs I could.

I cannot stress enough how good this game is. Larian Studios made one of the best games I played in my entire life and it is sad that it is over but I am hopeful for the future of this franchise and the studio who made it.
