It's like a worse version of Mario Party. Most minigames are more competently implemented in a SC2 custom map.

Very Myst-esque in terms of gameplay and pacing/story development. Puzzles are generally simpler, less convoluted as in Myst; in Obduction it often seems like you already know the solution to a puzzle and you're just waiting for the missing piece, where in Myst you usually had all the pieces required right in front of you and coming up with the solution/connection was the hard part.
There is also a lot of backtracing and walking in general, and paths frequently lead across different worlds, so the abysmal load times get quite annoying too. In general it seems like the game engine is badly optimised and QA fell behind, so (as of v1.02) the whole experience can be quite buggy/laggy (being stuck on rocks, VX glitches, but nothing gamebreaking at least for me).

The shortfalls of this game are nothing compared to all the things it does right at the important places though: worldbuilding, story and setting. If you were waiting for a true continuation after Myst IV, this game is highly recommended.

The ending is crap tho.
