i have never seen more complicated menus.../ want to see how much more stuff u guys can fit on one screen keep it up

Getting a lot of replies to this missing the point. I never said the game isn't good. It is one of the most fun games ever at its core, but the dev team continuously proves they have no idea what to do with that. Maybe 1/5 updates is positive, and the rest just break stuff/ruin the balancing. They have serious and consistent game breaking bugs that have persisted since launch. It's a great casual game that once had an unbalanced yet playable (and very fun) ranked mode. It is now just "Play medium or you are absolutely screwed if you face any decent team." The dev team doesn't understand how to fundamentally design an FPS. They have a class system. One class is absolutely 100% clearly the best in the game so much so that it's not even remotely viable to play anything else at a high level. What do they do? Keep buffing that class, nerf the other two. This is a negative review not because I don't like the game, or because I don't enjoy it at times, but a negative one because they're ruining what could be one of the best games of all time. This is constructive criticism, and if you want the game to succeed, you should embrace that.



For season 4 what are they even doing? Nerf LH1 and Sniper because they don't want people getting randomly shot from crazy distances? Fine. But how are you going to introduce a gun that does JUST THAT in the SAME UPDATE that does more DPS than the other two ever did on the class that is supposed to be the HEALER?? Buffing the sword's dash??? Who is giving these people feedback? Its like they seriously do the polar opposite of what would make the game balanced, without fail.




I have genuinely never been as baffled at a development decision as I have been with whatever Season 3 is supposed to be.

This last update is the equivalent of Valve saying
"Screw CS2, we're making our game a Battle Royale now"
*Effectively replace your main ranked gamemode with a mode that is a whole different game*

You:
- Have amazing gunplay
- Unique Mode that is universally loved
- High TTK
- Health Regen, allowing for constant repositioning and re engaging
- A large and dedicated playerbase

You then:
- Push a melee/sniper meta, meaning that the best aspect of your combat (gunplay) is almost worthless
- Replace the ranked mode with another typical S&D mode w/ destruction (Budget Siege), ruining your originality
- Keep the High TTK, but basically remove health regen, meaning your game is indecisive on if it wants to be a CS/Siege style high risk/reward mental game or an Apex/Fortnite tracking heavy/movement heavy game, leading to a mode that just sucks to play because it can't decide what it even is.
- BUT keep basically the same MASSIVE maps, meaning that rounds can feel super drawn out as you search for their last player hiding in one of the 200 fully accessible buildings, or that defending points = holding 360 degrees worth of angles, instead of traditional entryways/chokepoints (LIKE IN GAMES THAT ARE ACTUALLY BUILT FOR THIS MODE!!!!), as the dramatically more destructive nature of the game means whatever building the point is in will just be knocked down in seconds (think Battlefield meets Red Faction)

Hilarious part is I'm BETTER at this new mode, and am primarily a CS player, so you'd think I'd like it. But, it just isn't fun, the game was clearly not designed for this. I do not see how this didn't cause a riot among the dev team. It is the craziest decision I have ever seen.


Update:
Despite peoples best efforts to blindly defend the dev team, they have effectively killed the ranked playerbase. They released a new "Ruby" rank, which was supposed to be super impressive, as it was only "Top 500" players. Yet, there aren't even 500 diamond ranked players. In fact, half of the "Top 500" is plat (theres literally only 241 diamonds in the world right now), because nobody actually wants to play Terminal Attack. World Tour is not even remotely a close replacement for the old mode, as there is no SBMM, no rank to lose, nothing. The leaderboard is playtime based, rather than skill based. They have previously made many mid-season balance changes, they are blatantly lying about the reasoning for removing cashout (they still haven't even made any cashout balance changes anyway).
