Going to preface this by saying that I am utterly ATROCIOUS at any kind of shooting based game and they're usually not my style...


It's fast paced, the unique gameplay loop of platforming, FPS and speedrunning is addicting enough to make me forget that this is part of a genre I typically never seen myself enjoy, and by far has been some of the most fun I've ever played with any kind of shooter. Again, I am major league hot garbage at these types of games, but it's never truly frustrating for me, and I always find myself replaying level I'm stuck on just one more time to see if I can make it. The soundtrack and art direction alongside the fast paced action definitely helps in that regard-

Now, the story... it can definitely be a turn off for people, but I kinda enjoyed how much of a cheese fest it can be. 100% not my thing as a genuine story to be invested in (especially as someone not fond to the more anime-esque plotlines) , but watching it unfold through an ironic/satirical lens is such a treat. The character writing and dialogue for me is the type of stuff I can just shut my brain off and laugh at before shifting my focus back to what makes Neon White really shine: its kickass aesthetic and exhilarating gameplay loop that you won't find anywhere else.
