Simply put it's a very good strategy RPG with a really interesting story and unique characters. And I've seen some people complain about getting this version and not "Disgaea 1 Complete", so I thought I'd add my two cents.

Personally I think we simply got the best version instead. I've played both the original Disgaea on PS2 as well as the PS4 version of Disgaea 1 Complete extensively, and to me the latter just feels like a very lazy/rushed "updated" version.

Some classes aren't even available anymore, since they were replaced by others from more recent Disgaea titles, and many classes had their designs altered to more recent ones, which makes it feel a lot less like Disgaea 1. For instance, the old style male thieves were replaced by the newer female ones.

So yeah, I'd definitely recommend Disgaea PC.

It's alright for a gacha. If you like FFVII it might be worth trying, but otherwise I'm not sure I'd recommend it.

It's an alright game, but it feels overpriced, especially when taking the microtransactions into consideration. The game also has a battle pass, but it doesn't seem to contain anything unique that you can't get anywhere else, at least from what I can tell. It does however have an online PVP mode with seasons that supposedly have exclusive rewards based on your rank.

Please note that my 1 hour played is only on Steam, I have played a lot more on PS5.

The game's economy is out of whack.

Just for the record, I really liked Broken Reality, but unfortunately due to a tiny inadvertent sequence break I managed to softlock the game, and I'm not alone. I didn't even realize at the time that it was a sequence break, due to the nature of the game.

Supposedly this problem was fixed a while back, but apparently that's not the case.

If you decide to play it, I would advice looking up the issue so you can avoid it.

It's a pretty fun game, but it didn't take long for the flaws to start adding up.

Things I liked:
● Nice graphics, although somewhat simple.
● The music is alright.
● There's a pretty large world to explore, with lots of dungeons.
● I haven't encountered any major glitches.
● Using a weapon or spell type will increase your proficiency, and in turn you can learn new spells.

Things I didn't like:
● Typos, grammatical errors and strange punctuation are abundant.
● Lots of stuff just isn't balanced well at all. Things like gear, spells and enemies.
● Managing the inventory is a bit clunky. There's no fast way to sell items as far as I know, instead you drag them one by one into the shop inventory.
● Most NPCs don't update their dialogue after you finish a request of theirs, instead they just keep repeating themselves.
● Traversing the world is a very slow process, and there is no easy fast travel to help mitigate this.
● Most dungeons are like mazes, and there are no maps to help navigating them.


It could have been a really good game, if it had a few tweaks here and there. Perhaps the third title is better.

It's a great game that doesn't cost loadsamoney.

It's just not fun enough to justify the repetitive gameplay.

The game is fun, and it has improved since the beta. That being said, it still has a lot of issues, which I will list below.

Good stuff:

• The gameplay loop is fun, although it does become repetitive after a while.
  
• It has solid gunplay, and the melee can be pretty satisfying.
  
• The maps are well-designed, and feel less linear than they really are.
  
• The visuals are nice, and it has good sound design.

Not so good stuff:

• Crashes and disconnects are not too uncommon. Server issues can lead to having wasted 20+ minutes in a mission with no rewards.
  
• Weekly objectives don't work all the time, so they can become very grindy or impossible.
  
• Mission variety is still not great, and a lot of maps feel very similar.
  
• Penances (challenges) aren't that well thought out. A lot of them encourage playing in a way that actively hurts your team.
  
• Enemies can spawn in right next to you.

Bug fixes and making the game more stable comes first, but I'd also really like to see more content soon. New weapons and enemy types would be nice, as would new classes (or su-classes) and maps/mission types.

It's a no from me so far. It's not as good as I thought it would be, and I'm disappointed that I didn't receive the DLC skin. As a Kickstarter backer, I would have had to pay quite a premium ($12 extra) to receive what others got for free when simply pre-ordering the game.
