My country does not support PSN account. Game was now officially delisted from our store page and is no longer available for purchase. I really really loved this game and had a lot of fun while it lasted. It's sad for it to end like this. I just hope I get refunded.

Edit: Sony surrendered! We won! Happy helldiving everyone.

You may notice I haven't played the game much as it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ horrendous. What they have built with WH2 they managed to completely ruin with 3rd installation. Fix your game CA please.

Early Access Review
This is my first try for a proper review as I care about this game as I am a backer from 2017.

Pros:
story
music
Doug Cockle
gameplay

Average:
character models

Cons:
length
gameplay

First of all I will start with pros. I generally don't care much for the music in games, but here I really enjoyed them. The music seemed to fit the scene perfectly. They managed to tell the atmosphere of the scenes and further expand them. As for the voice acting, there isn't that much of it, but damn, was it a good decision to have Doug Cockle here (and ringtones with his voice if you are backer are really awesome). At places there are some problems with the voices as they are too low and it's almost impossible to hear what they say, but I believe that's something that should be easily polished before full release.
Talking about gameplay, I am a huge fan of dicerolls, and all the skill checks here are really good. The option to see the result of the rolls is really welcome. In general it feels really innovative. I don't recall any memory of another game that brought up the feeling I got from this gameplay.

As for the average are character models. They closeups and details are good, but enemies that are insignificant seem just too copied. All of the friendly characters feel vastly different, while the minor enemies seem to be produced in the factory one after another with singular form. I also need to stress I am not a fan of visualization of the dead enemies as they models seem just turned 90 degrees and put on ground. The positions of dead bodies thus feel really unnatural and disruptive. But I have to give praise for the models of main characters and allies and major enemies as they are really detailed and seem alive. Another slight problem I noticed is that their lightning or how to call it, not always fits the colour of the scene and they seem out of place.

First thing from the negatives that greatly troubles me is the length of the game. I took my time playing it, but finished the available part in 2.7 hours as you can see. Considering that is supposedly about 40% of the game it seems it will really be short. Not that you could expect dozens of hours from a game that costs 16 euro (even though it's in development from what I know since 2017 when I backed it through kickstarter), but this greatly connects with my negatives about the gameplay. With so many factors and checks that are present in the game, I am concerned about their impact on the story. So far I didn't have any feeling they were that impactful. This may be due to current available content feeling like a prologue, but again considering this is supposedly 40% of the game, I just really can't see any great impact they might have on the rest of the game, but hopefully I am wrong.

I need to mention there are few minor bugs, as the voice being too quite as I mentioned. Sometimes the pop up screens don't disappear once you move your mouse away, and sometimes pop up screens don't pop up when you however your mouse over traits for example, and you are forced to move your mouse away and do it again. It's nothing major that disrupts the gameplay (except for the voice loudness), so still far better than in most of the other early access games (or major aaa titles on release)

To summarize: Still a really nice game and a fresh experience. Once finished, you will get your prices worth and a little more on top. With this game I am sure it is going to get finished from all the communication on the discord server by Andrej.

Major question: Should you buy it in it's current state? I believe you should, if you like what you see.

Small game for cheap enough price that it's more than worth it. Really fun with friends

To give a quick opinion for people still deciding whether to buy this expansion or not. If you are the person which liked Civ VI vanilla certainly yes, for those which didn't like vanilla mainly because of lack of content (me counting) comapred to completed civ V, probably yes (leaning more to yes side). For those who disliked vanilla for other reasons, you should most likely wait for Civ VI to be fully completed with all future DLC's and expansions before getting into it.

Rise and fall offers much more diversity in gameplay than vanilla did, there are new civs which feel as always a lot different and make you adapt your gameplay strategy. AI has been improved quite a bit and new interactions were added which make it feel more logical (no more everyone denouncing just because). However, there is still huge lack of map diversity which is still one of main falls of the game (at least for me).

PS: game was gifted to me from my money so i could save on humble through friends acc with subscription, so if it appears in reviews as something other than bought ignore it

Bought it on sale for 2 euros, after finishing it would not mind paying the full price. Really astonishing and heart warming game. I didn't feel this moved in years, it really brought tears to my eyes thanks to it's beauty

All these 4 DLC's perfectly show how they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ us, deluxe version buyers over. I didn't see this low blow coming from creators. I am utterly dissapointed in them, so much that words can't even explain it properly. Really disgusting to get such treatment from devs of my favourite game

Same as in other 2 DLC's. One civ and one scenario and we are supposed to be happy with that

Slightly better than Viking scenario, but still really upsteing move from developers. I didn't buy deluxe version of Civ 6 for 80 euro to get "free" DLC with just one civilization and uninteresting scenario when game is in need of new maps and civs
