First game I've ever played of this kind and I was worried that it wouldn't really be accessible for people like me, but Hades provides a challenge with meaningful progression even for newbies. Before you know it you're bulldozing through enemies because you've upgraded your gear, collected boons, and most importantly spent hours mastering how you fight and how each enemy moves. Plus each death does have the rewards of more story progression, so you never really feel like you're dying all for nothing.
