I am the HŽ series 1142 locomotive, also known as Brena and Tiristorka. I belong to the Croatian Railways and operate on the 25 kV 50 Hz power supply system. I was built between 1981 and 1989 by the company "Rade Končar" to serve the former Yugoslav Railways. I take pride in being the first electric locomotive fully developed and manufactured within the former Yugoslavia. Among the locomotives owned by Croatian Railways, the series 1142 locomotives hold the title of being the most powerful electric locomotives.
