The balance has been improved from ow1 and the change from 6v6 to 5v5 is nice imo but they really fumbled the bag with everything else.

What use to be an enjoyable hero shooter turned into a live service cash grab, $22 AUD for a gutted PVE experience from the promised Standalone PVE game (that was canceled and the whole reason for ow2 existing) that's just as basic as the 2017 Uprising event, an atrocious monetary system that wants to suck all the money from you're wallet with a battlepass and 24hour rotating store and skins that were once free and earn-able through buying/ earning loot boxes now put behind paywalls that are almost unobtainable for people going the full F2P route.
