This game made me make noises I didn’t know I made and convinced me to preorder the oculus quest 2.

super weird and interesting.

game is pretty boring right now. im over the whole Paradox business model of releasing a bare bones game and locking core gameplay mechanics behind pay walls with their 500 different DLCs they will have. maybe in 2-3 years this game will be fun, but then it will also cost $100 in dlc to make the game fun.

This is easily my favorite grand strategy game of all time. It is also easily the most expensive game I have ever bought, due to Paradox locking key gameplay features and mechanics behind dlc pay walls. That is really my only complaint about this game. DLC as far as the eye can see. Want to play as any nation instead of being restricted to certain ones? Gotta pay extra for that. Want to play as anything but a Christian nation? Gotta pay extra for that. Want more than 20 faces for the portraits? Gotta pay extra for that. Its pretty ridiculous honestly. But if you are a fan of grand strategy and willing to drop a decent chunk of change for all the dlc, you will enjoy this game. I also highly recommend installing the Historical Immersion Project (HIP) mod.

Really intense, chaotic, and fun. Was in a fight with a guy and watched him take a bolt through the back of his head. Gory goodness sprayed in my face. Guess I won that duel. Buy this game.

Pretty fun game I must say. Played two playthroughs so far, one balanced, one pro-mods. While the basic playthrough is the same, the results vary depending on your decisions. It was neat seeing the results in the streets after the newsday had passed. Its short and after a couple play throughs, you will pretty much see every result possible, but seeing as the price is so cheap, can't really complain about it. Great time waster.

So far so good. Super early access, so bugs a plenty to be found, some that can be extremely aggravating. The devs are very active and update almost daily. I am having a ton of fun with this game, even at the early, buggy stage it is in. Playing on an RP server is the way to go in my opinion to get the most out of this title. Will update as development progress but right now I do recommend this game with an understanding that there many bugs still need to be worked out.

Not too impressed. Spent a couple hours running around on almost full servers. Never saw another player. Loot was trash (.22 rifle and some crappy clothes). Got very boring very quick. Lots of frame rate drops, weird effect where if there is water behind trees, you see a weird double vision of the tree canopy. Was hoping this would be something to hold me over until DayZ 1.0, but DayZ .63 has more content then SCUM at this point, and runs a lot better (what world are we living in?!) I'd give it a pass until more content is added. If you already own DayZ, then you probably wont find much use for this game. Refunding and waiting to see where this game goes.

Basically Squad with a WW2 reskin so if you like Squad you will probably like this. Still needs a lot of bug fixes but when it runs smooth and you are in a good unit that communicates, the game is extremely fun and intense (again, same as Squad).

Current condition I would rate a 6/10, mostly due to gameplay issues like multiple CTDs. Fixing these issues would bump this to an easy 8/10.

UPDATE; 4/14/19; Game is still garbage. Devs really should be fired.

Well, its finally here. Version 1.0.

What a disaster. I want this game to succeed so bad, despite how the developers seem to feel. I mean, talk about shooting yourself in the foot. 1.0 is a broken game of broken dreams.

See, really what we have here is version .64, simply labeled 1.0 so a promise of "1.0 by 2018" could be kept. Tons of missing content. Tons of missing animations. Infected that are simply broken. But hey, there is basebuilding!!!! (wooden walls and a couple tents, wow.) Just make sure you build your base somewhere no one will find it because it takes all of 2 minutes to break into someones base. Its a zombie survival sim but the zombie survival part of it is completely broken.

Oh, and dont try to be critical of the game on the steam forums. the mods will delete that ♥♥♥♥ asap. "moderation is not up for discussion" blah blah power trip trying to filter people's opinions.

I ahve nearly 1200 hours in game at time of writing this. I love DayZ. I want to be able to recommend this game. However, at this current point, I cannot recommend DayZ to new players. Its just too damn broken at the moment.

And don't even get me started on that trash server browser. I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate that thing and it is garbage no matter what anyone tries to lie and say.
