As a fan of Impression Games cty builders (especially Zeus) it was great for me to find a title that took those familiar mechanics and put them in a new setting with high quality graphics. Despite recommendig the game I can't say that it's a geat one as it fails to match the quality of the originals in many ways (like the lack of military or bugged interface to name a few). If you're a fan of Impression Games or just city builders in general get this game by all means, but don't expect it to be as good as the old ones. Still worth the money though.

I'm at the point where I completed the whole campain on hard difficulty and obtained all the achievements (70hrs+ of gameplay according to Steam) and here are some of the comments:

+ Nice, colourful 2D graphics with good music
+ Enjoyable city building game
+ Brings back memories

- Some scenarios feel unpolished
- Bugged interface in few places (yearly production not displayed correctly, few spelling mistakes, nothing major)
- Campaign not challenging enough even on the hardest difficulty and planning cities boils down to repeating the same patters in every scenario
- Ignoring resource requests in the campaign doesn't have any downsides
- Performance issues on some machines to a state of being unplayable (I got very low fps on my average desktop, but a very good performance on my laptop)
- On 5x speed house's service satisfaction will drop down to 0 sometimes, causing the house to go down a level, but works fine on 1x speed

= Calendar in use can be annoying (game uses French Republican Calendar) when trying to work out when a given month occurs
= Best way to generate income is through taxes rather than through selling stuff
= I find farms annoying to work with - If you have a lot of them at some point of the year you'll either be missing work force or you'll have to deal with a revolt
= Revolts don't actually do that much if your palace is near the residential areas
= Campaing timeline interresting enough, but could do better
