1. LeftAlt + LMB click to examine things does nothing. I've tried it both with Linux native and under Proton, without any luck. Because of this, it is impossible to progress beyond the first step of the tutorial.

2. The only way to get support or file bug reports for this game is to join their discord server. I am not about to join yet another discord server when I'm already in too many as it is, and Discord is not a valid substitute for an actual website, forum, or bug tracker.

The whole thing with the EAC completely sucks, and as a result of it several of my friends are completely unable to use VRChat.

I've uninstalled VRChat, and will be heading over to ChilloutVR with the rest of my friend groups.

I can't really recommend the game in the state it is currently in. Others have voiced complaints similar to mine, but basically it boils down to the game being too heavy on resource grinding, combat is a bit janky, progression is very slow, you continually chase after marginal gains, and the game is very repetitive.

The biggest issue with the resource grinding is that most resources are divided into tiers and rarities, and for a lot of recipes or upgrades you have to have a specific tier and/or rarity not only for the crafting station, but also for things like water or firewood. And, to top it all off, your inventory is very limited in size, and it is also a heavy resource grind in order to max it out.

Another big issue I ran into, though this is more in the bug territory rather than game design, is that this game appears to have a problem with memory leaks, and I usually find that my computer quickly starts hitting swap space with this game, causing performance to slow to a crawl.

So again, I can't really recommend this game for now. Though, I plan on taking another look at it at a later date. The game does have a lot of promise, and with some more dev time I imagine it'll be in a better state later down the line.

I found that the gameplay was okay, but the story left much to be desired. That, and the constant barrage of cat puns got tiring very quickly. I also grew to hate the spirit companion you are saddled with. He is not only an annoying sidekick, but also a bit condescending and keeps addressing people as "peasant".

Pay-to-win predatory microtransactions.

The game starts off okay, but then after reaching area 45 or so the enemy's power curve turns into a wall, slowing progression to a snail's pace unless you're willing to shell out money for progression aids. The game also gives you a free taste of some of the stuff you can buy with microtransactions, which is yet another page out of the predatory microtransations playbook.

Bought this game by mistake, I meant to buy Empyrion Galactic Survival, but somehow got mixed up.

In any case, this game is tedious and clunky, and it takes forever to build a base. I got a little over an hour and a half of play time in, and all I had to show for it was a small 2x2 base with no ceiling. Never did figure out how to correctly put in a ceiling block.

Was pretty fun for a while, but it got repetitive and boring after a while. It'd be nice if new types of monsters started appearing in each 100-level sequence instead of just the same old monsters every time. Makes for a decent time sink though.

The game is tedious, dull, and overly restrictive. It offers little of the freedom of a sandbox game, and instead forces you to complete objectives in order to learn how to craft things, which can only be crafted upon reaching certain levels. Not only that, but you can only craft a limited number of the structures each level. For example, upon learning to craft anvils, you can only craft one and must level up in order to craft another.

The user interface design is also pretty awful. If you want to pick up items and drops, you have to open the menu. Also while the menu is open, you can move around, but you cannot turn, and you cannot mine, dig, chop trees, or fight, and while the menu is closed you cannot inspect the progress of the various crafting stations. Items also take a substantial time to craft, sometimes a minute or more. Combat has no depth, it involves little more than just holding down the LMB until the enemy falls down or runs away.

I never got far past building a stick hut and a table, and it took a few hours of playtime just to get to that point. Around that time I realized that the game just wasn't fun, and I can't really say I "played" the game because it never really felt like I was playing.

I get more satisfaction out of doing the dishes than I do out of this game. Speaking of which, I need to go do the dishes.
