Unholy Heights is a simple tower defense game. It focuses on you, as the devil, renting out apartment spaces to other monsters that just want to live a normal life but are constantly attacked by people. The art design really caught my attention when I decided to play this game. However, that alone was not able to sustain my interest.

-Lack of customization. It'd be great if you could change the aesthetic look of the apartment to your liking. It'd also be great if you can look into each individual room and arrange the furniture. Instead, we're stuck looking at the outside view of the apartment.
-Monsters grow stronger only if they are satisfied with their room. There should be more options available than this.
-Battles are random encounters with unsatisfying rewards.
-If you're being attacked and some tenants aren't there because they're at work or school, then it makes it more difficult for you. Without a lot of depth in monster growth and gameplay, it's frustrating.
-There needs to be a time system in game. I don't know when my tenants leave or when they come back. It would help greatly in planning when to do quests.
-Progress is random. You don't know when your tenant will get a spouse or a raise at work. Sometimes, it took long for me, sometimes it only took me a few minutes.
-Quests are very boring. There aren't any unique quests other than defeating enemies.
-There's no way to heal your tenants. When you get couples, they spend so much time doing "pillow talking" and it reduces their health. With this occurring randomly, it's difficult to plan out random encounters or doing quests.
-The siren is loud, annoying and unnecessary.
-Realistically, the more time you put into the game, the more successful you will be. Most of the game is random and there's no strategy to it like other tower defense games.

I'm disappointed because I expected a lot from this game. There was so much potential that was not utilized. If you enjoy casual gaming, then this is definitely a game for you. If you want a game that has depth in gameplay, I suggest looking somewhere else.

Definitely worth playing!

I usually overlook a lot of RPG Maker games because I've seen hundreds of uninteresting titles. This gem, however, exceeded my expectations. The amount of creativity put into the storyline is incredible. The dialogue feels so genuine and it balances between seriousness and wittiness. It also has such an amazing soundtrack that fits into the ambience of the game.

Oh, and I hope you like platypus.

Very clever use of scrolling. The game is based upon the idea that darkness is taking over the world so you have to constantly move forward or else you die. There are RPG elements that allows you to get stronger as well as a nice level of exploration. There a several classes you can unlock that slightly alters the gameplay.
This game is highly addicting. The replay value is amazing because every time, you can generate a new world to experience something new everytime.
