it is a good game. and it tries so hard to be a Soulsborne game. So I my critique will be harsh.

What kept me on the game is the story and the weapon system, I like them both. Cool idea to give me a customizable weapon (moveset), and not reseting my upgrade level! Also has some great soundtracks!

Combat is okay, bosses are k at max but the level design is atrocious.
Which is in my opinion the reason why this game is only okay, but not great. They took Miyazakis comment about "I imagine how would I like to die here" very, very seriously. And it gets exhausting

If everything is trap no trap will ever surprise me again... Every shiny on the floor, every enemy showing his back to get backstabbed, expectt like 5 enemies jumping you... it becomes very predictable. Also placing an enemy so that he break through a wall is fine, but it should kind of make sense why he is coming out of the wall? They literally just create pockets and wall in some guys to jump scare you. No room attached nothing. Very videogamey and not good level design


It took many features we know from dark souls good and bad ones. Thanks for telling me who wants to talk to me. I wish from software would adapt this feature. No thanks for keeping the last tier of upgrade materials limited per run. Also they patched they made an entire beautifully crafted area obsolute. Like why? This area is so nice and now has no real use.

Long story short, keep on making games but try less to be another game. Very solid base, but has a bit of an identity crisis.

love the micro managing of your sectors and finding the optimal setup.
The later the game goes the less important it becomes sadly.

don't get discouraged by loss of vessels or personel. The dev's want you to fail and retry, so safe-reloading is a mechanic to get your desired outcome.

first half of the game is great! the later the game becomes the more "frostpunky" it becomes tho..

overall a 8/10 but an accident happend on the tiqqun, so we are overworking now and unhappy so 7/10

the piranesi can go and ♥♥♥♥ themself, made the ending for me a 5/10

First impression is good.

Seems like a game I can spend alot of time with.

But the sound design so far is often unpleasent. Sound often "hurt" to hear. (Intro & cutting planks as an example)
I already have the entire sound on very low, which is kinda sad because I want to immerse myself into this game

If you are a really big Sekiro fan, and you are searching for something similar give it a go.

Else I would not recommend.

For me the combat felt like a chore and not satisfying enough to keep me playing.

Buy it in a sale, don't expect quality. Yes. even after 4 years you immediatly notice why this game has horrible reviews.

I just run around explore and shoot things as a distraction, i didn't expect anything good . Bugs mainly make me chuckle cause I do not really care about anything in this game.
If you are a fan of the franchise, it probably sucks even more.

Streamed it for one of my friends to prove the point, told him the stream ends when he finds a bug....
