I was one of those people who only got most of the way through Pathfinder: Kingmaker because I didn't have a lot else to do. I never finished it but it was a decent passer of time during lock down. I would have given it 6/10 and I absolutely LOVE crpg's and will play them all.

I bought the game thinking they had made a new game, its not, its the same game. Same everything. What have they been doing for so long, hire more people, make some progress!

What I love:
1. Lore and story are ok
2. Companions are not bad, a step up
3. Somewhat more voice acting, but its ruined by the dialogue being way too long, make it snappy! (see: what i don't love)

What I don't love:
1. Weird janky combat that doesn't feel smooth or engaging. Baldurs Gate 2 had better engaging combat where you actually felt and heard what was going on
2. HOW THE HELL IS MOVING ON THE MAP STILL SO BAD.. like its 5% better
3. Too much time was has gone (wasted) into the vast array of classes, spells and skills
4. Vendors and inventory are still really bad
5. Some indication of what level certain areas are would be useful
6. The dialogue is TOO MUCH (for me), seriously by about 2 hours in you are just skim reading giant paragraphs of dialogue that isn't realistic at all, no one talks that much, is there a concise mode I can toggle? It really breaks the immersion in the game

Otherwise if you loved Kingmaker you will probably love this game too but its not very rewarding or engaging for me.
