In perspective:
Graphics 10/10
Music 10/10
Gameplay 11/10

Now:
It's unfortunate that this version is (literally) the original running through Dosbox. The 50% off price (3.50) should be the full price (instead of 7$) but this game is (for me) still worth having on my steam account. I wish my cash could go directly to the original devs as I have no doubt this is just a money-cashing for the pubs. But here's hoping they'll notice descent is still on everyone's radar. A remake would be amazing, and would be an incredibly easy game to make, too.

Bottom Line: If you've never played descent before, buy it (or on GoG) for the original experience! If you're just looking to add it to your library for the sake of nostalgia... buy it on sale only.

If you enjoy competetive multiplayer FPSs (either the tight, focused Counter-Strike; or the broad, open DayZ) you'll love Insurgency. It has a fair, realistic combat system that is incredibly easy for FPS fans to approach, but is deep and complex enough to keep coming back to.

A common complaint I've heard (and make) about Counter-Strike is that you can fire a clip from a pistol and easily put 4 rounds into a guy's chest, just to have him jump/spin around and one-shot you in the head with a rifle. This will not happen in Insurgency, if you can land 2 shots on the enemy (1 with most shots) than you're able to take anyone down (even that veterin with a 15:4 kdr.

The game is very well balanced, too, with each weapon feeling and playing differently, but without any individual weapon being over-powered or a complete waste of time (with maybe the exception of that one smg).

Bottom Line: Realistic modern shooter that has unforgiving combat, but incredibly rewarding realism.

Takes the best of the old (action rpgs) and combines it with the best of the new. This is absolutely the best Deus Ex so far (if you're playing them for the first time, I realize there is a TON of nostalgia for the older ones, and they were better in their day, than this one is in its day).

The only con: A lot of planned content was cut out either for budget reasons, or to make deadlines (probably both), and while they sewed the rest back together fairly well, the seams still show.

Other than that, GREAT game.

CS:GO Review
It's a very good counter-strike game. Once you get enough hours in it gets more fun than the older counterstrike games. Competetive is alot of fun so casual can be fun and crazy. Compet servers aren't the best, but private servers have always been better anyway.

One of the best RPGs of all time. It's challenging and rewarding, but unlike most JRPGs it isn't super "grindy" (which is my biggest issue with RPGs), but neither is it super easy. Each battle takes planning and thought, though nothing seems out-of-reach (except maybe the Weapons: W-Summon Hadies/KotR + Mime). The story is also incredibly good, a little over-the-top, but solid.
