Fantastic throwback to the classic Castlevanias on the NES. Solid gameplay, awesome soundtrack, with just the right amount of difficulty. Requires multiple playthroughs to get the most out of it, yet it's very fun to play through it again and again after unlocking everything.

This game has it all: soundtrack, story, voice acting. I haven't been this engaged with a game in so long, and I'm left with mixed emotions. 10/10 for me. I used the FAR mod for performance tweaking. Without spoiling too much, NieR:A is very, very good. I would a[ B ]solutely recommend to anyone that likes RPGs.

11/10. Would recommend to everyone if you enjoy 2d platformer/exploration/adventure. As if the amount of environmental detail in this game wasn't enough, it's greatly supported by a gorgeous soundtrack. "City of Tears" has to be my favorite track. And then you start to put together the scattered bits of story elements throughout the game that makes you feel much more appreciative of how well made the game is! Amazing.

What an experience this turned out to be. Absolutely love the music, the narration, the little details like the messages and audio logs, the Tower.. really beautiful game. The music though, my goodness I can't emphasize how much I'm into the soundtrack. I'm a sucker for the piano.

Solving the puzzles were really satisfying. Very very surprised from this title by Croteam. 10/10 game, will have to go back and collect the rest of the hidden stars.
