After FF7 I was rly excited to play FF8 on steam after unbelievable 15 years :D I remember having loved this game and I was curious what I would think about it after so many years.

As in all Squaresoft (Square Enix) RPGs you can spend A LOT of time playing this game and some sidequests are rather annoying but if u dont ant to play them then just dont :)

The game itself isnt rly difficult...well obviously it depends on your characters skill but I got through without any big problems. Though there are some tough enemies which you dont have to kill but u will feel great after defeating them.

Again the battlesystem is quite goood. You should speed it up in the menu though then u wont have to wait ages for each character to have a go. Magic isnt used by junctioning special materia to your character like in FF7. Here u have to collect the spells. U can either draw them from enemies or refine them (quickest way is refining them). U will have access to the open world pretty fast and can go exploring. Story takes place in pretty calm and colourful world. You can use magic for the battles and have the possibilty to summon Monsters to help you out.

You are a soldier of SeeD a special force who fights against witches. Yeah... witches... but luckily not the medieval witches :D They r just mean rly mean women with exceptional power who always want more... (sounds familiar?).

Main focus, next to saving the world, is the rather complicated relation between the main character and one of his clients. Yes! This is an epic lovestory :D

The characters can be annyoing from time to time but after long speeches u will be rewarded with awesome cutscenes :D

All in all I enjoyed playing the game after 15 years and it is the second best RPG Squaresoft (Square Enix) has developed :D

Those of you who have played the FF Saga on Gameboy...yes..Gameboy :D that grey cubelike thing u could play 2d games on...known for Tetris and Mario... and enjoyed it will be happy about this jewel.

FF7 meets all the criteria for a rly good rpg. The story is just fantastic, you can spend weeks on this game and the battlesystem is pretty sweet. Ofc you have to keep in mind that this is oooone oldschool game. I loved it when I was little and as soon as it was available on steam I thought Id give it another try and even though the graphics are 1990 style I (almost) enjoyed every minute (more or less).

Unlike the rest of the FF series the story takes place in a rather machanical-the world-is-going-to-end atmosphere. So there will be no witches, no knights and no princesses (yaaaay!).

As usual you and ur mates are up to save the world...this time from Sephiroth (you must all know who he is... otherwise u have a serious lack of gamers knowledge...). To save the world from its nonexistance you have the power of some outta this world materia which allows u to cast spells. So if you think urself back in time 20 years you will think these spells are f**** mindblowing. Today in 2014 they are not quite that cool but still worth the time.

Imo the batlesystem is much better than in the latest FF games. Its round based and if u speed it up in the menue you will spare urself precious time. What is really really annoying though is that u have to watch the endscene after every battle. Even if it just takes about 5 seconds it is rly annoying... But sometimes u have to go through hell to experience the best story ever seen in an RPG!

There are plenty of youtube vids you can check and it may look rly boring in the beginning but this game is probably the most amazing of all the FF games. The second best is FF8 which we you can luckily also get on steam and the rest I didnt like and I am also not spending a second (or third or fourth) playthrough on... but this one I must have played...5 times... :D So thumbs up! Hope Squaresoft (Square Enix...) will let go of the princess and knights and medieval mixture soon and get back on track after.... uhm.... 14 years.

So Frankly: Characters are great. Battlesystem is good. Dialogues can be a bit annoying and u have to rapidly click through them if your not interested into listening to everything. Story is the best. FF7 is the best RPG :D
