This game may have cost me my wife, due to her freaking out seeing me spend yet another day cleaning up virtual filth instead of our actual home.. but to be honest, it was worth it!
Now me and Dex can enjoy life together, cleaning up as many crime scenes as we wish! We'll there's only 10 maps, but you know what I mean!
This game is one heck of a gem,and far surpassed something like Viscera! It somehow makes cleanup not only easier than Viscera, but much more fun and engaging. You have a story, you are on a mission to save the life of your sweet daughter. It may be a tired trope, but her little bit of premise was all I needed to keep me hooked.
Don't let the idea of "only 10 maps" scare you away though, as you will absolutely get your money's worth it.

Getting over it, Only up, Sexy hiking...if you 'enjoyed' any of those titles you need to try this one out!
It does a great job of bringing that gameplay into vr. Its not perfect, but what is anymore? For what it is and how much they are asking for it,it is well worth it. Try out the demo if unsure, it gives you plenty to know if this is for you or not.

First off...WOW! For any horror fans that also happen to have VR, this is a must play! I had heard great things about it, but held off bc i'm cheap...finally got it when it hit 20$ and i am so glad i did!!!
I love all things horror, and i'm mad at myself for holding out so long now that i've experienced it . What is here is fantastic, a great balance of unique puzzles, environment, jump scare, tension, confusion and gore to create a game that not only frightens you regularly, does so that even at the end of my 11hr playthrough i never felt burnt out or like any one scare tactic was driven into the ground. This is crucial for good horror imo, and Madison does it like no other! The puzzles can baffle you a bit, but once you start to put pieces together it all starts to click. Only once at the start did i have to look it up, but after that i felt i had a good idea for how the game worked and was able to go the rest of the way with no help.
Of course as a pc gamer i have to mention the technical side of things...i am running a 1080ti and 6700k , with a Quest 3 via AirLink. I had to create a mix of medium and high settings to lock in a smooth 90hz , i believe my older card isn't helped much by the DLSS. With that said, even with all at medium this game looks FANTASTIC! The lighting, effects, the textures all look amazing in the headset! I had the occasional stutter or frame delay in an intense scene, but with an aging gpu, that is becoming expected. It was never enough to cause me nausea or make me want to cut my sessions short. Today alone i played for 6hrs.
That is a testament to the performance and gameplay, as someone with adhd getting me to do any one thing more than 30 minutes is a struggle...so yea, go buy the game! I feel pretty confident you will at the very least be able to tell within the 2hr return window if the game is for you or not! Also try and play when people in your house arent trying to sleep, bc you WILL yell out often!

This game is pretty great, an absolute must play for VR gamers! VR NEEDS titles like this to keep pushing hardware or this amazing means of gaming will once again die off...we cant leave it all up to Zuck to fund this stuff...so get on in there and scoop this game up ASAP!
Also..be sure to join the Discord and spam the devs that we all want a solos mode!

Such a fun skateboarding game, translated so well into VR! Don't get me wrong, don't expect to get sponsored in real life if you are good at the game, but it is good enough to still let you gather a good "flow" on your runs.
I look forward to future updates, maybe custom maps or at least new maps from the devs!

In a world of 15$ lattes or 40$ fast food, the 15-20$ for this game is pretty great! The story is short, its tight but it keeps things moving, keeps the pace nicely without forcing you to stay

New to VR, so maybe im easily impressed...but this game is absolutely awesome! the monsters, the atmosphere, the sounds, visuals..all are beyon impressive and really help to put you in the scene. I would recommend it even if paid, but seeing how its free, why are you still reading this and not trying out this game?

Once again Devolver knocked it out the park!
I am a fanatic of the Hotline series, so naturally i was drawn into this title.
I already had high expectations given the track record, but this game went above and beyond those! The movement is so fluid, the abilities turn it into a skillful dance of death as you leap, roll and dodge your way through levels of various baddies.
Overall it is a major win, and WELL worth the cost. That's not to say it doesn't have its issues though. What i am referring to is the fact that some levels seem more luck than skill, and it ends up being frustrating on a whole new level. Thankfully, about 3hrs in, I've only had 1 or 2 instances of the luck over skill levels though.
The story is interesting and twisted in that way Devolver has mastered. It might not win story of the year, but given the genre the story works well to keep everything flowing in one direction..while also leaving you thinking WTF? quite often.
Im not the greatest at putting my thoughts on a game into writing, but the best i can tell you is to try it for yourself! It is cheap enough to not break the bank, and with Steams refund policy you will def know within 2hrs if this game is for you or not. You may get frustrated some at first, but soon you will be dodging, deflecting and slicing dudes up and loving the game!

Frustrating beyond belief! But so worth it in the end.
