When the game first released it didn't have any of the features that allows the player to change how the game punishes them. They have since added SO many options that helps make the experience lots more fun with allowing a player to abandon runs while keeping their items for when they have real world things to deal with. When I first wrote this review I said that I could not recommend it as I felt it was not the way it was first advertised. Since the review the developers have added the features that players asked for and have improved the stability of the game itself. Playing an additional 10 hours or so and creating a new run with the newer updates I can say the game is amazing, and I'm look forward to finishing the story. That being said if you like a game that has an upgradable base, resource gathering, resource management, an upgradable car, and personal upgrades. Then please give the game a chance. It is not very often that a game like this comes along.

Absolver is a Melee combat fighting game that looks like When you first start the game there is an intro cutscene that plays and explans things like story and background which I am not going to talk about to much but you are one of many warriors that have been picked to restore the world from a event that has set the world into chaos? The story is very... Unique and It reminds me of two games I have poured a countless amount of hours into and enjoyed as well. Those two being the Dark souls series and Hyper light drifter two games that have this calm sence to them and when you play them the atmsphere is so amazing that the experince can't be discribed but if you ask a person who as ever played eather of the game they could say that its a strange but calming all most adciting feeling they have ever felt. At the same time if you play that game for to long at one time it fades away and the feeling is the strongest when you first play it. The developers of Absolver is a compainy called Devolver Digital and they problebly sound familiar thats because this is not their first game some of their most famus works include Bro Force, Reigns, Strafe, Shadow Warrior 1 & 2, Hotline miami 1 & 2, Mother russia bleeds, Enter the gungeon, the talos principle and the serious Sam games and those are only a handfull they have made more like OmniBus, Not a hero Titan souls ( that game that Jacksepticeye played & none of his fans enjoyed) Luftausers, Foul Play, Heavy bullets, Olli Olli 2 thats all I am going to talk about but what about this game? Well good question its fun it gives a dark souls / For honor vive and not in a oh For honor it must be bad its more like if you have played for honor this will feel slightly familiar to you. there are three combat stypes that you can pick from when you begin your journey (and yes player interaction feels like the game Journey too) there is more or less 1.) Easy mode 2.) Normal mode 3.) Hard Mode. apon that there is great cosmedics in the game and yes that means that the customiziation is good as well and there for people that are like myself and enjoy looter shooter (in this case a looter fighter / brawler) then you will love that too. The game is realased commercially so its "stuck" in Early access hell but its still new and it feels like that the said lack of content can be seen the story like I touched on before seems non existent but I think a better tirm would be evolving with a setting like this the Devs are doing the right thing by taking time to make a long but greatly deatailed story that is going to end up being amazing. Finally the 01 - 10 rating as of Update 1.11 that this review is being written on I would give this game a solid 06/10 for bringing something new to the table and being good at what it brought.
