Early Access Review
Larian's system is amazing, and Baldur's Gate stories are phenomenal. Together, they've made a really dang good installment in this series.

Phenomenal game. Great writing, fun gameplay, excellent environments and character design. Really distinct personalities allow for really different feel through subsequent playthroughs

I started back in 2013 when Rise of the Hutt Cartel released, and while I was alway sad that it wasn't Star Wars: Galaxies, I was still impressed by Bioware's storytelling, and their cutscene and trailer quality.

The game remains largely as it was back then, and I am glad to be returning! I tend to take breaks of a couple years, but always come back happy... though I absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ HATE the new redo of the skills system in 7.0.

That said, I recommend the game! They will continue to rebalance and upgrade and update the game as they have for 10 years now. I think it's a wonderful MMO to get introduced to if you love the Star Wars universe.

Everything you love about the Halo franchise, in one purchase.

Also all the garbage we hate - like trying to drive the Warthog through the tunnels at the end of The Maw. ♥♥♥♥ that ♥♥♥♥.

Extremely predatory psychological tricks, progress blindingly slow.

Pros: The game seems very honestly fun at first, cute sexy anime girls are always pleasant. Match 3 is great, everybody loves it. The art is fantastic.

Cons: Unfortunately the rate at which you earn energy and cash is super fast - and if you make ANY PROGRESS AT ALL on ANY GIRL - all relationships rise in difficulty.

The points required to win at regular dates skyrockets into near impossibility within the first 2 hours of play. The upgrades you're supposed to buy (to increase your point rewards from each bubble) are prohibitively expensive. You have to beat levels to get that gear. To beat the levels, you need that gear. They trap you on purpose.

You will not be able to advance. You will hit a wall, and all 40 of your energy will only be able to be spent talking to the girls and hearing them repeat messages over and over, not beating stages in the Match 3. After that, the point requirements for beating the Match 3 will continually increase without you even doing anything. You can fail over and over and over and it will *always* jump in point requirements every time you play.

UPDATE:
Now when I pay 600 cash to extend my photo storage, the money is removed from my wallet but my storage doesn't increase. So this game is predatory AND full of bugs

Incredible storytelling, believable world, and absolutely endless replayability in how good the gameplay is.

Thank heavens I'm not playing it on console.

Beautiful storytelling, gorgeous graphics and environments, smart design, crisp gameplay.

There are bugs - all games-as-a-service have bugs after every patch - so let's hope you've been paying attention and know that going in. The biggest downer is the community of whiners in the forums.

Otherwise it's a damn fine franchise, and Beyond Light is gonna be bananas.

Hard recommend. 9/10

Snappy gameplay, refined and clean. Beatiful animations, Sharp and intelligent writing, with tongue in cheek comedy interspersed between existential and body horror backdrop.

The concept behind the story is utterly gripping - if you can let your brain fuzz out a little bit and look at things through the lens of shattered theoretical physics (this is easier if you've used hallucinogens).

I hate EA.

However, for the first time in maybe 20 years, EA made a game which has:
Zero microtransactions
Zero DLC
A full story experience
Is single player
Is *not* riddled with bugs

I *HIGHLY* recommend this game. My only complaint is that they force you to install Origin so that it can run its DRM in the background. I previously promised never to install Origin on my machine, but here I am, and honestly, I don't think I regret it.
