Played through on the OG Vive + wands (which aren't too bad once you learn to not destroy your hands via trial and error, but Index would be a breeze).

There's a definite lack of story and not to forget mid-level saves; you either dedicate 30m - 1h to complete a level or just don't bother (till saves are implemented). Aiming with rifles is clunky given how physics interact with the stock + player model.

But the way you can interact with the world with physics, climbing, beating puzzles by completing them in multiple ingenious ways and more really makes the game. Want to push enemies over and execute them? do that. Want to slowly peek doors with one hand, gun in the other? do that. I also spent a lot of time just going through the levels postponing objectives to explore and find new stuff.

I don't have a lot of VR experience at all, so I can't say this is the best VR game to exist but I'd like to view it as where they are going, and that this is just a start. I for sure loved the hell out of this game, it's definitely one of my favourites.

Though I will say whoever put the last ladder in the game deserves to be shot (yes, wands I know).

Very good game for the creative person.
Played for 3+ years on an old account, definitely worth the money - had days worth of gameplay time.
