Pretty fun. Gameplay is a nice upgrade from the base game.
Story is ok, has some pretty fun writing.
However, my 12 hours of playtime is me very casually getting a 100% save file.
I took breaks and goofed around, you can probably do a 100% run in under 10 hours without much effort.

So what I am trying to say is, the game is good, but not 50$/€ good. I payed 28€ on sale and even that felt a little too much.

Sorry but the stuttering issues here make the game unplayable. It's clear the game has loading zones pretty much everywhere, walking through any corridor or door is a loading zone and the game will have frame stutters like crazy during those moments. At times the entire screen just freezes for half a second, like, it's BAD. I tested this on 2 entirely separate systems even, it stays a consistent problem even if you vastly outpace the system requirements.

And the fact that this hasn't been fixed within the almost 6 months the game has been out now, it's completely unacceptable.

The Beta is pretty fun, the PVP actually feels good as well. It's usually only a short 2 minute engagement right at the end of a 10+ minute PVE mission that mixes several objectives within several Zones you pass through. The PvP at the end usually involves some clever use around your abilities and objective so it feels like a nice finisher for the Mission. Like it's not as bad as people make it out to be.

The game modes and loadouts offered in the Beta is pretty limited however and I wouldn't pay 60€ for what's on offer here. Since we don't really know the full extend of the Full Game yet, I would be hesitant to buy atm. What the Beta displays the game to be right now feels more like a 30-40€ game, rather than a full price title.

Very very big "meh".
The Rose DLC is effectively split into 3 gameplay sections.

I found section 1 to be pretty fun, although rather basic and nothing impressive. Very much a slightly more simplified core-RE8 experience - running through the environment, killing enemies and solving basic puzzles.
Section 3 was more exposition focused and lacked much actual gameplay, but had a pretty wholesome story conclusion and a decently fun boss fight.

Section 2 however soured me on the whole experience. It had neat ideas, but the execution was at times so clunky and unintuitive that it stopped being fun in any way. What the game expects you to do during certain section is counter to how the game played previously, or even the "gimmick" established just minutes earlier. It got to a point where I am still unsure if I experienced bugs in enemy positioning, or if the game seriously expected me to play like it ended up forcing me to after several retries and attempts to essentially trick the enemy AI, cause otherwise I would receive extremely unfair feeling instant game overs.

The Rose Story has a decent story, but gameplay doesn't get any better than "mediocre" and dips into "truly atrocious" at times. It's also barely longer than 2 hours, even after dying several times during the aforementioned sections, I finished in 2h 30mins.

If your main interest is the story DLC, I strongly recommend against buying this DLC unless it's on a big discount.

A good game ruined by Ubisoft and their bad netcode.
The core of this is incredibly fun and feels a lot like Heroes 3. However, the core of every Heroes of Might and magic game is the multiplayer and that one is completely broken and unplayable here. Constant, unavoidable Synchronization errors will leave you unable to fight AI or human players. This makes every match that goes on for more that ~2 hours a gamble of when will the errors pop up and ruin the entire game. And chances are, it will before you finish 99% of the time and your game is done then and there. You will not be able to complete it.
And I mean that genuinely. This is not an overexaggeration.

If you're REALLY into single player I guess this game will be fine for you. The gameplay and strategy mechanics are very good and on that end I believe the devs have done a great job.
