House Va'Ruun should not have been locked away this long as DLC, especially paid DLC, they should have been in the base game. Throughout the entire game it was hinted that they are possibly the strongest faction, definitely the most interesting, but we had to wait a whole year for the final member of the boring,tired trope of a "Big 3 Factions" mess.

Instead, what we got in the base game was the Space Cowboy larp faction that builds its capitol cities main defensive wall out of wood and mud. And somehow they WON the war with the UC even though their army consists of 12 corrupt sheriffs and their 100 corrupt deputies.

Does this DLC add anything to address the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ lore of "oh yeah humanity is NOT expanding at all anymore because of some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ treaty even though there's hundreds of viable planets everywhere?" I highly doubt it. The only DLC that I can ever see putting Starfield back in good graces, is one that makes the world feel alive.

More colonization, smaller independent factions trying to claim any patch of dirt they can, that's what a Space Opera should have. Not boring, lazy stagnated writing (looking at you Emil, I'm happy you quit). Settlements that actually looks like towns instead of two prefab cargo containers that people live in. Why are there no other cities on Jamison? Why is Earths lore so horrible? Why was there not an option to kill the chairpersons of that stupid luxury planet so we can just give it over to the old earth colonists?

House Va'Ruun DLC will not ever come close to fixing an already catatonic game.

This is nothing

It is an absolute blast with friends, but miserable solo. I have never felt weaker as a space marine, it really does seem like our armor is made up of tissue paper. Squad AI is downright abhorrent, we can't pick up the giant lasgun turrets anymore even though they are laying around EVERYWHERE. Most weapons feel like dogwater or super underpowered, plasma weapons reign supreme.

And yet im still having a fantastic time. I would love to see things get buffed and balanced around, especially fixing AI, but its solid and it works.


EDIT: Gotta change it to not recommended. After beating the game I feel no sense of joy. It was a slog. Recovering no health through glory kills, almost the same exact plot as Space Marine 1, terrible balancing of guns and armor in PVE you never feel like a space marine. I felt like a wet noodle wearing tissue paper as armor and shooting airsoft pellets. See no reason to even touch PVP cause from the looks of everything that's also not balanced. Really hoping for balance patches soon, otherwise this is really disappointing.

Super, super fun. Can't wait to see how this game develops! I hope we get a vast more variety in cards and figures we can sell. Lord knows the countless card games and stuff you find at TCG Shops nowadays.

Game def has some good bones to it. But I will be checking it out far later down the line. Hunting doesnt feel good at all, arrows seem to go right through every rabbit I shot at, dont think I actually hunted anything successfully with a bow. Had to chase them down with a sword. AI Voices are...interesting, but the devs said that full human VA's are coming with release so thats cool.

And there we go baby. Arrowhead did it the mad lads. Sony is no longer requiring the linking of PSN accounts, and the devs fought tooth and nail

Loved the game during its first months, came back to it recently and its just a slog. Lost all my progress of course, the new shop is confusing and terrible. The new staring warehouse lacks the charm of the first, and everything seems like 3 times as dark as it used to be. Controls and movement seem outstandingly worse and more clunky than before, in and out of VR as well. Just a very weird game to come back to and everything feels worse

Firestorm looks very good, although I hope losing 1000 crew members for it has no impact
