If only I had a giant, but hole

Made me a big tough manly man among friends. I laugh at silly demon.

As an old school pokemon fan who's been disillusioned over various issues with the franchise over the past years (B&W was the last game I enjoyed) this game is a much appreciated breath of fresh air in the monster collecting genre. You can absolutely feel the passion this development team has for this game.
The battles are doubles and this may be an issue for some players, but the temtems have moves and traits that activate when paired with certain other temtem and it feels very good to get a team that works well together.
The battles themselves are challenging! Just being a higher level is not enough to insure your victory and that's a very good feeling, actually having to think and not just have one overleveled monster in your party to sweep every challenge under the rug.
You stamina system is fun and is a huge part of the strategies you'll be using to make it feel like you're actually earning every victory.
It's a small thing but it's cool to have your temtems following you in the world and to see other players running around with theirs. It makes the world feel just a little more alive.
I'm very much looking forward to being with this dev team through the future.

Yes, the patches take a long time to come out, yes the game changes a lot every update.
The team is small and is always posting their changes on youtbe and such. It's just a good fun game otherwise

Good clean physics-based fun

Despite the ever-lamented loot box system throwing it's ads in your face every time you go to the menu I have to recommend this title.

The nemesis system nails the feeling of being in a living army, you never know what your commanders are going to do.
There's times where the compc relief is a little over-the-top but nothing terribly sinful there.
The characters, while mostly randomly generated, are unique and memorable. Your story will likely be unique from any of your friends'.
