I found this about a week ago and decided to play it on stream yesterday between game sessions; the best decision I've made to date. To some, this may seem like a low effort, 40-minute game, but it's much more than that. The story, the commitment to the bits, the voice acting, down to the smallest stuff like unintended glitches that add to the experience; this game handles it all very well. The **only** complaint I have is with the computer in the Game Manager's home. The computer mouse sensitivity becomes WAY too high if you open any of the text documents on the computer, and it becomes almost unusable. (It's difficult to explain, but feel free to check it out here for more context.) Additionally, I would have liked to see what happens if you manage to access the Unity application on the computer however, I was unable to find the code, if one exists. Overall, this game was really well made, despite its visual simplicity, and anyone looking for a good laugh and some interactive gameplay should definitely give this a try. I ended up playing this "40-minute game" for around 3 hours due to its replayability being that each time you play it, you can stumble across new easter eggs, new voice lines resulting from different responses you give, and even some aspects of the map design change between runs. I went into this experience, because that's essentially what it is, thinking it was going to be one of those silly, quick games that would be a fun time-passing activity between sessions; I quickly realised that it would be so much more than that. As someone who has also developed games, I appreciated the references and jokes related to the hobby, industry, and passion. I rarely write reviews for games on Steam, but this game was something that I felt I had to write about due to its unique comedic and visual style. I can 1,000% see this populating a large portion of the YouTube front page within the next few months, if not sooner.

PEAK is one of those laugh-your-ass-off type of games. Whether you play with a group of friends, eventually betraying each other as you traverse the terrain, or you're a lone nomad just trying to get by, this game will have you sweating, crying, bleeding, and most importantly, cackling like a witch on Halloween! In addition to being a very fun, chaotic, and hilarious game, PEAK is perfect for amateur content creators and social media persons as it provides an endless timeline of funny moments, high-energy impact situations and nail-biting, anxiety-inducing maneuvers. Overall, PEAK is a great, and affordable game for you, your friends, any kids in your life, and is fit for all ages.
