Pros:
- Pretty decent/good game mechanics
- Great visual and sounds
- The variety of ships in the game is pretty nice
Cons:
- The worst game balance I've ever seen, since WG balance the ships by how much money they would get out of it. CV Rework has been released for almost 2 years and it is still a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, and they are trying to squeeze submarines into this mess.
- Not friendly with new players because of the lacks of intro/in-game guide, UI doesn't cover all important stats of the ship.
- Slow bug fixes, since fixing bug won't give them any money.
- Bad matchmaking, snowballing match which you haven't do anything yet and the game is almost over is quite a lot recently. The main reason is there is absolute no skill measurement involved in the matchmaking, and the asymmetrical line-up between teams.
- Aggressive monetization with intransparency. The company will do anything as long as it gives them profit, even biting their own words. Anyone remember that they won't release guns with caliber more than 460, submarines doesn't fit the surface warfare battle, and they won't sell tier 9 directly because new player would be able to ruin high-tier games? Old days.
- Publisher that doesn't act well upon feedback, most feedback are just being ignored.
- A lot of lies and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that I can't remember at the time of writing this.
Here are just my own thoughts:
Have played this game for almost 5 years in my main WG client account until now, and it felt so sad that the game went downhill so quickly these 2 years. I loved how slow-paced the game is when you are sailing around, chilling and enjoying the ship visual and sounds. Even then, the combat/action scene and effect are still really good and epic. But the aggressive monetization, especially these 2 years has been ruining everything good about the game. The CV Rework is a massive middle finger to any surface ship player, the lacks of communication and ignoring feedback leads to a ♥♥♥♥ tons of imbalance ships and bad game events (i.e. Puerto Rico event, NTC, etc..), and a lot of questionable decisions, etc. I really liked this game, but WG is just dragging it into something that we can't endure.
