I love this game, God knows how much. I’m part of an FG (fighting game) community, and I was the only one who promoted playing it, attracting a few players here and there. However, they eventually quit because the netcode we had was terrible.
Years of practicing combos alone, years of playing against the same people because the online scene is dead, years of enduring jokes and memes from my friends and fellow FG community members for sticking with and preaching about KOF XIII.
And for what? So that now they can sell me a netcode 'upgrade' for $4 USD... and even when playing with someone from my own country, or even my own province, I have to add 2 frames of delay despite having 50/70ms, or else the game slows down and becomes unplayable.
The worst part is that neither SNK nor SAFARI GAMES (the company responsible for the rollback netcode in this version and the PS4 version) has said a single word about it.
I think they’ve finally done it. I think it’s time for me to let go this game once and for all.
