Enjoyable story, interesting characters, beautiful world, lots of side-quests.

Good:
- Interesting setting.
- Frequent updates.

Bad:
- Way too abstract default tileset. It's not possible to distinguish a bush from a monster unless you notice a nonsense icon is moving. This can be fixed by using a custom tileset mod.
- Horrible gamepad controls (Steam Deck). You have to press a dozen buttons (often simultaneously) to perform a simple action. Button mapping makes no sense. You would expect to move with a joystick or arrow pad? Not in this game.
- The UI will make you cry. Not only because it violates all principles of accessibility and UX, but because the controls make it nearly impossible to navigate.
- Poorly balanced difficulty. I moved one screen away from the starting village and got immediately mauled by a pack of jaguars. Then I reloaded and traveled to the first quest location and was obliterated by the first monster there.
- No tutorial, no explanation of how anything works. If you really want to play this game, be prepared to waste a few hours reading community guides.

Considering it's launching out of early access very soon and it's unlikely anything will change in a short time, I cannot recommend this game. There are much better roguelikes like Dungeons of Dredmor, Tales of Maj'Eyal and ADOM that are actually fun to play instead of being extremely frustrating like Qud.

Democracy is winning in-game and out-of-game.

Felvidek - ролевая игра, действие которой проходит в альтернативной оккультно-фэнтезийной версии истории Словакии 15 века. Главный герой (или скорее антигерой), Павол, является рыцарем при Венгерском королевстве. Запой и просиживание в борделях - любимые занятия Павола. Но его можно понять - невесту похитили чешские гуситы, протестующие против распространения католичества. Из локальной драмы игра быстро перерастает в оккультную мистерию с турецкими османами-ящерами, гуситскими чародеями и инфернальными демонами, порожденными грехом.

Геймплейно игра является классической пошаговой партийной RPG. По ходу игры к Паволу присоединяются различные спутники, вроде набожного католического иллюминатора или проигравшего всё состояние в кости дворянина. Боевая система простая - но сами бои требуют тактического планирования, напоминая JRPG и классические кроулеры, вроде Might & Magic. Диалоги полны черного юмора и сатиры. Однако следует учесть, что для аутентичности автор игры решил использовать поздний староанглийский язык, то есть многие слова и выражения являются очень архаичными и требуют углубленного знания английского.

Felvidek оставил положительные впечатления, но к сожалению игра короткая и прохождение заняло два вечера. Любителям инди-рпг рекомендую ознакомиться после скидки.

It's a good game if you can see past the budget limitations.

I'm not very far in the game but love it so far.
The world setting and aesthetics are very unique (retro glitch hi-fi?).
Battle system is very deep with hundreds of monsters, moves, fusions and effects.
Map has plenty of puzzles that require some specific abilities.
Dialogues are not cringe and some are quite funny (though, there are still plenty of woke anti-capitalism vibes but it's somewhat expected).
Overall, one of the best monster-connecting games in the last decade. Highly recommend for those who like this genre.
