Mod and Play is a sandbox game heavily inspired by its predecessors like Garry's Mod. I bought the game with the expectation that I would get a bare-bones, graphically better Garry's Mod. Instead, I got a terrible asset-flip of a game.
The assets on the pictures, like the SMG, Helicopter and Tank, are absent from the game as well. Who does that?

I've never seen a more awful launch day than this game had. There's no SDK for a game called "Mod and Play" on the first day of release. That's just ridiculous. It's obvious that there's no love put into the game, it's just a quick cash-grab.

Another thing is the Discord server. The moderators and developer will ban anyone on the discord that tries to even give constructive criticism to the game. Shady practices from a shady developer that can't even take criticism spells doom for any indie developer. If you don't believe me that the developer is shady, here's some proof for you.

Basic things that a game needs like working controls are absent as well. You can't even rotate props reliably, they just shake in place. I spent the better part of an hour building a rocket-ship, almost all of that time was just trying to line up the props. There's no angle snapping either, so good luck trying to build anything in this game without pulling your hair out.


The graphics are it's only saving grace. The game looks beautiful, especially on Canyon at night. Seeing the northern lights while sitting next to a campfire is very relaxing. But, that's only to be expected for a game made on the Unreal Engine.

Overall, this game is a horrible and janky mess, even for 3 dollars I wouldn't recommend getting it. Skip this one until it gets some serious updates.
