This game is awful, I love it

Really fun game, the progression system just needs to be changed because at the moment it feels very unrewarding and slow.

If you didn't like the first game this most likely wont change your mind but if you enjoyed the first you'll like this one too. Overall the game is a solid improvement over the original. The Dinosaurs themselves have been improved drastically with more social interactions and animations, they feel more like living creatures instead of mindless AI wandering around their cages. Another improvement over the original has to be the aviaries. Now you can change the terrain, add foliage and rocks, put down water and everything else you could do in a normal enclosure. The new lagoons are alright, they're better than the aviaries were in the first game but could still use some improvement to make them feel more interactable. The hatching and customization tools have been beefed up and make releasing multiple of the same species both easier and more interesting with Dinosaurs now having a percentage chance of being synthesized with certain traits depending on the species and what modifications you put on them. My only problem with this system is that if you release multiple at once they'll all have the same skin. Onto the actual park management, it has also been improved but has some problems as of now. It feels like there's almost too much to manage, you can't leave the game for more than a minute or two without a dinosaur getting sick or having a injury etc. Sometimes to the point where I can't actually enjoy my dinosaurs because i'm constantly doing something else. The new time controls do help with this but only to a point. On a good note, the new scientist system isn't nearly as tedious as I expected it to be. Getting a good set up of scientists with good traits makes things much easier and resting them isn't as bad as it seemed especially since you can speed the game up to 3x. The campaign is much shorter than the first game but the new Chaos Theory mode makes up for it and is where you'll be spending a lot of your time. Overall it's a really good game but has a few problems that could be fixed in the future and it won't be changing anyone's mind if they didn't like the original.
