An amazing take on the roguelite genre. Arrange your jokers and play your best hands to get insane scores. Can you go E?

A very nice, relaxing murder mystery to stroll around in. The story is also crazier than you can imagine. The music isn't bad as well. Say hi to Shinji for me.

If you liked Risk of Rain, you'll love this. It has the same frenetic arcade action but taken to another level. The game has been updated many times and the devs have promised more content to come.

The new content is also top notch. Still highly recommended.

Still playing this years later. Great!

A great game with many of the hallmarks of the souls series. The environments reset when you die and you lose some progress. Instead of a level up system, you have a prosthetic arm that can be upgraded with various tools. You also learn skills that permanently upgrade your capabilities. The combat is sword focused (you don't really get any other weapons) and relies heavily on parrying to be successful. This will be challenging for people used to dodging or blocking in the souls series.

If you like the souls games you will probably like this.

Return of the Obra Dinn is about a ghost ship that has mysteriously turned up in the harbor. You play the role of an insurance adjuster sent to determine the fates of the crew members. You have a magic pocket watch that allows you to see moment of a corpse's death. You enter the fates of the corpses you find into the book which confirms your answers in sets of three (or two, near the end). From these frozen scenes you can piece together a wonderful narrative of the events on the Obra Dinn. I highly recommend it if you enjoy exploring and deduction. The 1-bit graphics are a gimmick that do little but add a bit of difficulty to the game. I did get used to them, however (the LCD setting was the most palatable). I think it is worth the full price. It has no replay value though, so don't spoil the game for yourself before playing it.

Prey is fantastic. If you are a fan of System Shock take a look at this game.

It is an overhead view souls-like action RPG. Combat takes strategy. Your character gets progressively stronger as the game continues by spending 'marrow'. You lose all your collected 'marrow' if you die, but the game gives you a chance to retrieve it where you fell.

Very enjoyable so far, I haven't completed it. I will update this with relevant info if necessary.

Just lots of fun. Running around killing and getting killed.

You get stronger by killing enemies but the game also gets harder as time passes. There are lots of different characters with different play styles.

This game is a steal for 9 bucks.
