Clair Obscur is a Masterpiece That Redefines the Genre.

I can't remember the last time a game gripped me this hard. Clair Obscur hooked me so intensely that I found myself playing over 10 hours a day, I got completely immersed in its "Canvas". This isn't just a great game, it's a once in a generation experience.

The story is nothing short of phenomenal, weaving a narrative so captivating, with plot twists that blew my mind. The soundtrack stands proudly alongside masterpieces like the NieR series, delivering emotional depth and atmosphere that elevate every moment. The art direction is breathtaking, the characters are deeply memorable, and every detail oozes passion and creativity. You can feel the love the developers poured into every frame.

Don't let the words “turn based combat” fool you though. this is not your typical system. With dodge and parry mechanics that feel incredibly responsive, the combat is dynamic and visceral. At times, it genuinely reminded me of Sekiro in how engaging and reactive it felt. This is, without a doubt, the most active and exhilarating turn-based battle system I’ve ever experienced. And there is also so many different builds you can create with the Pictos/Lumina system <3.

To me, this isn't just Game of the Year.. it’s so much more than that. It's a shining example of what video games can achieve when vision and heart come together. Honestly, AAA studios should take notes.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has become my favorite game of all time. I’m just so grateful I got to experience it.
