100% the game. It is very fun and gives me the same enjoyment I had on L4D2 with more added gameplay (builds, cosmetics, dynamic maps affecting your survival) to it. Currently, there are still bugs that are very infuriating but I can only hope they fix (based on their official trello and discord) in the future.

Difficulty from Recruit to Veteran to Nightmare is VERY steep. Personally, just get good, not hold W and M1. Start from Recruit and incorporate a viable Card Deck (This game's way of making builds) into your style of gameplay if you need some advice. There are plenty of ways to make viable builds towards your playstyle I am sure. There are ways to juke, loop, and position yourself in a better spot to fight the zombies and mutations. The game is absolutely the funnest when a team is able to communicate on the Voice Chat and coordinate through the map. Voice Chatting is not required but it is preferred for Nightmare, Veteran runs. After growing accustomed to playing on Nightmare, Veteran becomes the easiest mode ever. I appreciate the skill ceiling and growth potential from this game for those who want to get better.

The story of the game and its characters is subjective. Personally, the more I play with different and specific characters in the group, the more I hear of unspoken lines revealing more about the characters and their relationships, thoughts on others, and outlook of the world they live in. For those interested, the game's plot may or may not be a " story enriched oh my god" or "completely serious storytelling!" thing for you. However I can say the story and its characters may seem basic/surface level but I know there was thought and care put into it especially for the characters in a subtle/implied way. I find it an added bonus to know other characters better and grew to like all of them. Karlee mains are based.

The state of the game is still buggy but it is playable and enjoyable even with the bugs and glitches. Although I know it pisses me off sometimes in crucial moments like the bot AI and bugged out interactions after being attacked by the mutations. Sure, the tallboy hordes are annoying as ♥♥♥♥ but again, you can juke, loop, triangulate, bomb, or shoot them as a team or solely by yourself. Online campaign is of course the bread and butter of this game, and there are plans of "solo campaign" progression in the future. But honestly you're better off playing online than solo right now, as the bot AI is unreliable. There is also Versus mode or "Swarm". It is very fun to play as the mutations I won't lie. But I feel it to be too small in scope compared to the main campaign. I hope to see Swarm get expanded upon in the future, perhaps L4D2 Versus mode levels of expansion. As for the "grind" with supply points, I found it to be reasonable (as in, NOT play 100 hours to unlock 1 stupid item or something like other "grindey" games.) and enjoyed having to work myself up and getting new cosmetics.

The reviews and community feedback are fair with bugs, complaints. It certainly lacks polish in areas of normal gameplay and there are certain ways of gameplay that can essentially make the game way easier. Though I believe it will be balanced out. The developers are communicative to what they are fixing and shows it outright to the public on their trello and discord if you're wanting to look into it. Personally, make builds that you enjoy. If you like playing nightmare with a "serious" or speedrun build, go for it. It is in the game for a reason. Although will be balanced, the developers clearly seem to want the card decks to be very fun (and I'll be real, it is). If you want to play casually, play Recruit. If you want a challenge, play Veteran. If you want to get your ass beat, play Nightmare. There is nothing wrong with that. Nightmare difficulty is only going to get so much more hard if you are wanting/waiting for a nerf on Nightmare. And the dev team clearly want it to be harder too, my friend.

TLDR
Is this game worth $60? You decide for yourself. Personally, I did not mind paying $60 to get 180 hours (and more) of challenge and enjoyment out of it. : )

I love the satirical and memey fun vibes of this game. This was my first entry into the Postal franchise. If you got time and cash to spare, give this game a try.

The game for first time viewers is basically a point A to point B game. The catch is ♥♥♥♥ happens. ♥♥♥♥ just happens bro. Like real life. If your idea of real life involves wearing a gimp suit in public, priests with guns, zombies, bdsm dog harems, a literal pair of walking balls, and Gary Coleman.

So watchu talkin bout fool, buy the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ game (if you interested)

In my opinion, BioShock 2 grabbed what I liked in the original and added on top of it with its refined signature BioShock mechanics. Before I continue, I read a lot of issues with crashes and although I only experienced it towards the end of my gameplay, like, twice, it still did not put me off playing it (I also have the natural tendency to save every other time I've overcame a challenge or substantial progression). But this BioShock was my favorite out of the three.

I haven't experienced this franchise when it came out. The collection was on sale recently and I was interested in getting into BioShock. Believe me, I am now in love with the world of Rapture!

(Disclaimer: I played this on Hard mode)
What I want to say first and foremost is that I really appreciate how this second game improved the mechanics of the first. I really dig that they made viable options to their "build" gameplay. It was interesting to see more melee, gun, plasmid, and others including returning ones from the previous game. All of this with an additional, although EXTREMELY challenging, way to get more ADAM. I also like (hate) the introduction of new enemies. The story itself as well as the whole energy of this world is as what I loved and expect from the original BioShock. With optional "diaries" should you be interested in listening to them or completely ignoring them. With clever game & level design and rewards for your exploration itches, you will learn anyway what is going on.

For complete newbies eyeing on this game, here is some basic information to help you understand things. (If you want to ignore this segment, figure it out yourself, skip this segment altogether. I promise that although it is spoilered, it does not contain actual spoilers)
  • Plasmids - Your equippable "powers". These can be bought or found all through out Rapture. All do unique, interesting things.
  • EVE - Your "mana" for your Plasmids. Plasmid use is obviously not infinite and some vary in how much EVE they use.
  • Gene Tonics - Simple passive "perks". They are equippable items called Tonics. Come up with creative combinations!
  • ADAM - These are a separate "currency". You only get them from Little Sisters. These are used to buy Tonics or Plasmids.
  • Weapons - Weapons are simple in Bioshock. They are upgradeable though it is limited.

If you do buy this game, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
