Kernel level anti-cheat. Dropped Linux support that the prior beta had. Champ system means your shiny new unit gets insta-locked by someone else which is aggravating when you start with a single unit that you cannot choose. For the ESDF enjoyers, currently no options to rebind controls for pilot movement in base, only for strikers.

As a friend says, there is definitely network issues. Such issues can be mitigated with a duo or stack and even changing to google DNS. Once the matchmaker eventually graces you with a match, it is a solid game - big stompy robots to beat the tar out of each other, what's not to love. Admittedly there is a learning curve, its a slower paced shooter than Apex but a bit more speedier and arcade-like than Rainbow 6 Siege, but you don't require the raw aim or map knowledge of either. The opening tutorial is a little lacking, but the in-game extra tutorials are a bit denser - highly recommend running through them. Shout outs to Avenger1GBO, their General and Supports guides really made the combat click for me - supplements the in-game tutorial nicely I feel. Game is definitely a gacha so some of your favourites are locked behind rng paywalls; the game is quite fair with premium currency and you can definitely snag a suit if you're dedicated enough. Asides from that the game does give you solid suits to work with and a bountiful selection to pick and choose from with the in-game currency store - no premium currency required.
