Simple rouge run base / tower defence game.
Rouge games might not be my favourite, but this game? Good fun, good price.
Yes you can get a refund for your meal if you didn't like swarm goop.

I'm enjoying it much more than I expected.
While it has a blanket amount of jank covering literally all aspects of gameplay (graphical artefacts, poor AI, connectivity issues, etc), it overall functions pretty well and has quite a lot of genre mixed in, without being too content bloated.

I don't really like to draw parallels to games from others, but this feels very much inspired by Rimworld.
Crash land -> Initial scrap shelter -> get everything under roofs -> defend settlement -> upgrade to proper buildings -> do 'quests' -> gather new survivors along the way -> improve wellbeing -> improve tech / combat capabilities -> ??? -> escape planet

It is overall pretty good. World building is quite neat; base building is quite flexible. Gameplay is engaging, if a little slow.
Graphics and UI are as you see in the preview images.

But there are some thing that do not feel very.. ergonomic. UI is not bad but its clunkyness is apparent, to me at least, when accessing the menus. There are (some) hotkeys and all, but starting out, navigating through the menus for different structures can be slow. It feels like an UI style from 2 decades ago. Not obsolete, but old nonetheless.
Information easily accessible to the player is somewhat lacking (map? information overlays?)
Gameplay is okay (as above), but at the same time, feels a little shallow. Not too sure why.
Immersion wise, the constructs of the survivors look kinda out of place for being stranded in the wilderness, on a remote planet?

I mean, it is Rimworld. Literally added a dimension but minus depth.

Is a nice little fun sidescrolling shoot em up type game.
NGL, feels like a browser game, but a top tier one at that. But people need to earn money. And I think this game earns it.

For pixel graphics, the art is great. IMO. There's even good animation.

A fairly simple game about tower/base defence in 2D.
Well, I say simple, but the gimmick here is that there is a delay as you call constructs down from orbit, requiring a little planning and sequencing of your deployments.

It is a fairly well made factory automation game.

The 3D environment is nice, allowing for complex (or rather messy) conveyors and logistic networks. You can choose to fully automate or rely on point-to-point deliveries with trucks for semi-automatic logistics.

The game can be difficult, because resources can bottleneck and critical infrastructure can fail, potentially causing you to loose the whole game.

While there is quite a bit of content, there is probably still room for expansion as the game further develops.

TLDR
A pretty good mix of various genres, mainly looter, shooter (not looter-shooter), RTS and base defence.
Can be somewhat grind heavy, but overall an entertaining game.
Had a rough launch but it has somewhat stabilised.
But although I support this game, I will still caution against immediately getting it.

TLR
While it is advertised as part tower defence, I think it is currently lacking in that department.
The core gameplay is base defence and exploration-scavenging, with some shooter type gameplay.
After a little bit of playing (maybe an hour to 5) you will unlock other modes to play, core of which is wave defence, but still cannot escape the scavenging.
You will spend most of the game time looking for building materials, or building (or using someone else's design, which can save you some construction time I suppose).

There is a bit of RTS where you can build defences and mobile units with resources acquired during a deployment.
And there are some mechs, which you can control via tactical mode or direct mode.

Base defence / 'tower defence' comes in the form of having an outpost to defend during the assault wave period. Frontline can be placed further away from the outpost using units mentioned above.
But combat is hampered by a limited logistic system. Most, if not all, weapons require ammunition to keep shooting. Magazines are of kinda small size and, especially later in the game, larger amounts of ammunition will be required to destroy enemy targets.
This large logistics requirement can be automated, but it is hard to scale along side the enemy health and difficulty.

Eventually, the game becomes a DPS check, aas it can be hard to recover a position once the enemy starts dealing any damage to your units, so you want to keep enemies as far away as possible.

Excellent development, excellent modding community.
As good as managing a colony on the ribworlds.
