Good solo or with a party. There is a download for a program which will allow you to add virtual controllers which will allow you to level 4 Heroes at the same time if you want to speed up levelling new heroes. Base game will offer roughly 100 hours of playtime if you solo it all and clear all available stages on all difficulty.

Get the following DLC:
Quest for Lost Eternia Shards
Jester Hero
Summoner Hero
Series EV Hero
Tinkerers Lab

And the Alternate Heroes DLC optionally for more speed/health by swapping the gender of your heroes.

The DLC above will add many more maps but more importantly it will unlock a higher level of difficulty for all maps and will allow you to gain higher tier drops. This will allow easily 500 hours of gameplay solo or up to 1000 more if you grind for perfect gear/pets/money for upgrades for equipment.
