Really fun core game play loop, and awesome to play with friends on co-op. The solo trials however, are way too difficult.

Quality, quality, quality! It is so refreshing to see creative and new experiences being created by smaller developers. I can't wait to see what Engine Simulator has in store.

Very underrated game. Took me a few hours to get into it, but once I was I didn't stop until I had completed everything except the challenge mode. Very happy to be getting these Playstation releases on PC since I haven't owned a console since PS3 and have missed some great games.

Chances are almost nil for a sequel, but I'd love to see one happen.

I should have learned my lesson with VT2, never buy a Fatshark game on release. Crash after crash, poor performance, no way to matchmake with friends, and no crafting available at launch. Requested a refund because this is not a finished game.

Beyond normal crashes to desktop, I've had crashes that require a full reboot to play again. Best frustration simulator available at the moment, very realistic. 9/10

It's really just not fun.

It seems clear that there was a lack of focus from the top on figuring out what this game should be. Coming from someone who bought BF1942 when it was new, and has played every BF entry since then, I am disappointed. The amount of weapons and customization at launch shows an obvious path to some battlepass type mechanic in order to lock you into additional purchases and microtransactions.

The wide open maps are an absolute meat grinder for playing infantry. I don't know how many times I've chosen a spawn point and been immediately obliterated by vehicles. If you don't happen to get a vehicle when you first start a map, you need to hike for 300+ meters before getting to the first capture point on conquest.

There are no infantry focused maps at launch for the base game. Jumping into Portal allows certain options, but you can't progress unlocks or playercard options from this mode. If you hope to come across a chaotic boots on the ground "Metro" style map, you'll be disappointed.

The environments lack the subtle details from previous entries that allowed you to be immersed into the fight, and made you feel like you were actually in an intense battle. By contrast, the maps feel very flat to BFV or even BF1. Even the sound design doesn't have the same impact. You will frequently hear footsteps of another soldier that appear to be around the corner but are actually 50+ meters away.

You will be killed by SMG's at distance, even if you get the drop on someone with an AR or DMR (this is after the most recent patch). Essentially, if you don't use an SMG then prepare to lose most gunfights.

In the Beta you were able to make wild moves with the helicopters to avoid incoming AA missiles, that when executed properly, made you feel like a veteran pilot. Now, if you're locked on and out of flares, God speed little buddy.

I'm not even going to list all of the mechanics that were a part of previous games that didn't make the cut, there are plenty of other gamers who have expressed this. All in all, I do have hope that the hard working developers can turn this around, but it could have easily had an additional year in development to get it right. I guess you have to build for shareholders somehow?

I'll continue to play since I have friends who want to jump into games here and there, but I will not enjoy it for the time being, and that makes me sad.
